We ate here with our kids for a late lunch & shared the lasagna, shepherd's pie, nachos, & hummus dip with pita. Everything was freshly made & delicious, enjoyed by everyone (big & small). Service was great! We'll be back next time we visit Quebec.
Beside the honest, unpretentious good food, this restaurant/bar is where the cool kids hang out. Not that we are cool or young. We really appreciate the funky, friendly, fun vibe. We ordered the veggie chili & the croque with apples, brie & almonds - high quality food at reasonable prices. Beer selection was excellent too. Highly recommend this place. It's the opposite of touristy!
Really enjoyed the laid-back & cozy vibe of this restaurant. The menu is small & simple. We tried the lasagna, shepherd's pie, & onion soup based on other reviews, & all three were very good. The drinks were great too. Not a five-star just because nothing totally blew us away, but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for good local food in a chill setting.
Nice place & nice atmosphere. The food was heated in the microwave, which is pretty weird & might explain the affordable pricing. Taste-wise, it was just average. We had shepherd's pie, lasagna, & the soup of the day, which was a tomato-pepper soup. I would probably recommend it for a drink & the cozy vibes, but less so for eating out.
Like at granny's. Kitch style like only visiting grandparents you can find. Love the ambience & vibe. Food is very good & generous portions topped with a friendly service all the way. Important, last 3 days of the week a DJ animate the party & everyone is dancing in granny's kitchen, lights & party ambience included. For sure one of my favourites places.
Loved this place! Had such a cool vibe & friendly staff. The food & beer were both a delight. We had the French onion soup & Pate Chinook. Both excellent.
Cool retro vibe here. I got some amazing French onion soup, salad & a beer. Good food, prices & service.
The best local restaurant in city by far. We ate there twice. Old school vibe, foods feel like homemade food, & waitresses are welcoming.
We stumbled across La Cuisine because we rented a vrbo a few doors down & the mouth-watering smell of the onion soup coming through the open windows drew us in. What a lucky find! The vibe is amazing, the service is friendly, & the onion soup is as delicious as we had hoped. I wish I lived close enough to make this a regular hangout.
