Second time visiting Cochon Dingue. Both times the food & service were excellent. I love the Quebec inspired options on the menu. This is a go to spot for me when I visit Quebec City again.
Would recommend the duck confit Benedict with breakfast poutine.
We've been to Cochon twice. Once at each location in old Quebec City. Both are comfortable locations, although we liked the one in Petit Champlain a little more. Had lunch once & brunch once. Coffee drinks are good, but the brunch/breakfast is definitely the star. Lunch was just okay. No offense to the restaurant, but they felt like plays off of American food, instead of truly being French food. Also, & this is small, but if customers like us are trying to order, converse, etc. in French, please let us try instead of just switching back to English! Otherwise, how do we get good at speaking more French when we visit!?
Went for breakfast as a couple. Good menu, fair prices. Nothing crazy, just a fair breakfast with great service. I would recommend.
We ate breakfast here every morning for the 6 days we stayed in Quebec City. The food & service was wonderful so we never had a reason to switch! Magnificent!
Great place for brunch or breakfast. We had a large party that after making some requests, they were able to accommodate. Food was really good.
Awesome breakfast spot, delicious food & great service! You won't be disappointed!
Food was pretty weak for the cost. Everything arrived cold from coffee to food. I ordered the healthy breakfast & it was 20 dollars for 1 poached egg on an English muffin, a small amount of cottage cheese & a meager amount of fruit. Some of the dishes our group ordered were tasty (the country duo wasn't bad), but everything was cold & in general we were pretty underwhelmed. It's a huge place, though, so if you need to get into somewhere with a hearty breakfast on a Saturday or Sunday morning, you'll likely be able to get in pretty quickly.
