The sweet chutney was all over the plate & the cheese balls did not taste very well. The cauliflower pasta & the chicken were delicious. Chocolate cake was ok. Very friendly server & good atmosphere
Had breakfast here all 3 days in Quebec. The food is delicious & the staff is fantastic. We got the oatmeal with pecans & apple, goat cheese omelette with vegetables with brown bread, hot chocolate (regular & old fashioned) & the country duo on staff's recommendation. Every dish was incredible. They made every effort to accommodate preferences like getting the cappuccino after food, or replacing potatoes with fruits. Highly recommend to everyone, especially vegetarians in the area.
Food & service were excellent & the bowl of cafe au lait included in the price of the meal was a very pleasant surprise. The crepes stuffed with mushrooms & cheese were really good & the eggs benedict were fantastic. One of the better breakfast options in Old Quebec for value.
Was a pretty great meal! We ordered the French onion soup, which was just right. The size was not too big, not too small. It was just enough & we still had plenty of room for the main course. The bread on the soup was nice & crispy, not soggy at all (a common issue I see with french onion soup). For mains, we ordered the cochon dingue style hot chicken & the BBQ rubbed pork chop with corn salsa. The hot chicken was delightful. The toast was perfectly toasty, with gravy, cheese curds, chicken, & peas on top. The chicken was moist & delicious. It was a great meal. The pork chop was very juicy & delicious. Meal was great. The service in the beginning was good, & quick. Once we finished our soups, we waited a very long time to get our entrees. Customers who had arrived after we received our soups had received their entrees & practically finished them before we were addressed. The manager ended up coming by & checking in on us & getting our food to us. A moment of frustration on our end, having to wait, but a good ending.
I tried the French onion soup, was too salty, too much cheese, onion not fully melted. The maple ribs were kind of dry. Got double charged & had to call a few days later. Fortunately, it was easily resolved.
Went here with the family & it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very polite & the atmosphere & aesthetic had a nice clean spacious feel to it. The Coquille de St Jacques was the star of the show as it had a big serving of scallops & cheese. I also enjoyed the pork tenderloin. The kids also loved their burger & fries. The desserts were quite rich as well. Definitely a must go for those looking for some good eats.
The food is so good & the cheese on the pasta is amazing! I have never tried this before but it really gives me a big surprise.
