We loved our experience here. Service was top-notch. Food was delicious. The view of the St. Lawrence from our table was spectacular. Loved the decor. Classy & elegant. Excellent, professional, & very helpful staff.

Wonderful setting, nice view of the river. Small but nice menu. Service was excellent. The food is "okay" nothing special. Had a chicken club sandwich which was nice, but accompanying french fries were cold & floppy. Cole slaw was meh. Really expected better, especially for the price. But I think you are paying for the ambience & not the food quality. My wife had a lovely Christmas concoction for a drink - orange, cranberry, apple, prosecco... Her salad was also meh. Go for the experience, not the food.

The cassolette fruits de mer & the soup du jour were great. The restaurant atmosphere is very cozy. I recommend reserving in advance.

We had a nice dining experience at Bistro Le Sam. Recommend booking ahead & requesting the alcove seating...the high top seats did not look comfortable. I had the smoked meat which is actually a sliced brisket sandwich. I had that & the French onion soup, both were tasty but very salty. My wife had the flank steak & said it was pretty tough, & salty as well. It's a bit pricey being in the Chateau Frontenac but overall worthy of the 4 stars
