La présentation de base & dispositions des charcuteries n est vraiment pas à la hauteur
On est quand même au Bistro du Château
On ne devrait pas avoir à redemander de l eau
Pour la facture on s y attends $$$$ pas de surprise mais on s attends aussi à recevoir des plats & service à la hauteur du Bistro'ce qui n est pas toujours le cas'
We stayed in the hotel for several nights & ate at le Sam on our final night. The atmosphere was excellent, it was lively & the interior design was beautiful.
The issue was with the service. Our server Max was inattentive, slow & arrogant. The hostess was great & seated us immediately, but we spent almost 2hrs at our table as a result of our Max's negligence. He seemed disinterested in serving us despite us ordering alcohol & dessert.
In addition to all that, as we left the hostess' were dealing with a massive line of patrons waiting for tables.
Great place, lousy server.

Lovely place! We enjoyed a 3 course dinner tonight & had the pleasure of being served by Nathaniel. He was so incredibly kind, professional, funny & attentive. The food was delicious & the cheesecake was the best we've ever had. The atmosphere was also really warm & inviting. 10/10
On vient de dîner au BISTRO LE SAM. L'agneau était absolument délicieux - cuit à la perfection & si savoureux. La vue du restaurant était aussi magnifique, ce qui a créé une ambiance incroyable.
Mais ce qui nous a le plus marqués, c'est le service exceptionnel. Notre serveur/serveuse a fait preuve d'une patience & d'une gentillesse remarquables pour s'adapter à la situation particulière de mon ami(e).
C'était bien au-delà de nos attentes, & nous vous en sommes profondément reconnaissants. Merci pour cette expérience mémorable.

We just had lunch at BISTRO LE SAM. The lamb was absolutely exquisite - cooked to perfection & incredibly flavourful. The scenic view from the restaurant was also breathtaking, providing a wonderful ambiance for our midday meal.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. Our server demonstrated remarkable patience & kindness in accommodating my friend's special needs. It went above & beyond our expectations, & for that, we are deeply grateful. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Bistro Le Sam is a beautiful restaurant with fantastic views of the water. The staff made sure our experience was comfortable, elegant & worth the trip. The menu is mostly beef & seafood - burgers, steak, oysters, etc. They took care to provide recommendations & served us a perfect cheesecake for dessert.
Bistro Le SAM is pure beauty & sophistication from the moment you walk in. Located inside the iconic Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac in Old Quebec, the space is stunning. It's upscale, elegant, & full of charm.
The service was very attentive. The staff truly elevates the experience. The food was exceptional as well. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted.
This restaurant is on the pricier side but it's inside the Fairmont, so expect to pay more. That said, it is absolutely worth it. Between the atmosphere, the views, & the elevated level of service, Bistro Le SAM delivers a memorable dining experience.
A high end bistro in a world class hotel, but the food is a bit overrated. I had oysters, which were quite ordinary compared with what we ate recently in Montreal (Darlings), onion soup which was very good, a beet tartare, which was just OK & for dessert they brought us a nice cheesecake to celebrate our anniversary. But the place has a great atmosphere - when you eat here you feel like you are somewhere.
The place is incredibly beautiful, featuring modern & premium finishes in a somewhat still classical Fairmont style. The service we received on our first dinner from Annie was wonderful! She made us feel so welcomed. The food was just average, like comfort fare, & lacked refinement. The prices were slightly too high for the quality & flavors. We had a lobster roll with caviar, poutine, a Burger Château, & chocolate pudding. It was enjoyable but definitely didn't feel like 5-star hotel food.
Our lunch the second day with Marco, who was super friendly & took good care of us, was pleasant. The Canadian oysters were delightful, & the seafood ravioli gratin was rich & tasted fine. However, the filet mignon was overcooked (medium) when I asked for rare, making it not so tasty. Another issue was that they only have two champagne bottle option.
The atmosphere is still very enjoyable. I would not choose to eat there if I had the option.
Ambiance parfaite! Les plats vraiment délicieux!! Le service est merveilleux!!! Merci à Yesmine qui nous a formidablement conseillés. Elle connaît sur le bout des doigts le menu & nous a permis de déguster des mets exquis & même de faire des découvertes. Merci beaucoup!
Je le recommande fortement aussi bien aux couples, aux familles qu'aux groupes d'amis.
