The Maison Livernois has a terrace of about fifty places, in addition to some 90 places inside. On the menu are pub classics, such as burgers, but also eight dishes inspired by the flavors of the world. The name La Maison Livernois is inspired by a family that has already been very involved in Quebec City. She founded the first photography studio in 1854 in the building that now houses the St. Patrick's Pub. Each gin and vodka brewed by Top Resto Group will bear the name of one of the members of this family. The first being the Jules-Ernest gin. Three recipes are already developed. In addition to food, La Maison Livernois is a tasting place. There are many kinds of Quebec gins and a laboratory to educate people.
Maison Livernois offers a highly regarded dining experience in the heart of Old Quebec, frequently praised for its inviting atmosphere, beautiful historic decor, and comfortable seating. Many guests highlight the exceptional quality of the food, particularly the steak frites, poutine, duck confit, and the creative selection of house-made gins. The service is often described as professional, attentive, and friendly, with many visitors noting that the staff goes above and beyond to provide tailored recommendations and accommodate special requests. While the experience is generally positive, some guests have noted occasional inconsistencies in service speed or portion sizes, but overall, it remains a popular destination for those seeking a memorable meal in a charming setting.
To start the entrée I had was soup it was good but it tasted like watered down pasta sauce & the burger I got was under cooked & some how the cheese was burnt the only good part of the meal was the fries & for the bathroom the vent was absolutely disgusting & covered in dust while the heater was even on the mirror was crooked & had small marks & scratches all over it it also smell horrible. The fire exits were all blocked by something & the staff never spoke to you & would only walk around & then leave for a few minutes at a time & we had a reserved seating & were one of only a few party's at their restaurant
I am a woman & travelling solo, so I had dinner here tonight. I ordered for Caramelized Chicken Wings, Seafood Linguine & Cheesecake Truffles. Everything was great, but the dessert was potentially how everything must be tasting like in heaven. Quite literally the best dessert I have ever had in my life. The service was great, & ambience was pleasant. Will definitely come here again on my next visit to Quebec City 🌸🫶🏽
We had tried the poutine at this restaurant while on a food & culture tour. We knew we wanted to go back! As our last meal in Quebec, it was perfect! The gravy is savory; the fries are perfectly cooked, & the cheese is squeaky--the best in Quebec City! Our waiter was friendly & knew we were in a hurry so made sure we had our meal in a timely fashion. My only frustration was how loud the music was where we were seated. I could not hear the hostess or waiter very well.
