About

The Maison Livernois has a terrace of about fifty places, in addition to some 90 places inside. On the menu are pub classics, such as burgers, but also eight dishes inspired by the flavors of the world. The name La Maison Livernois is inspired by a family that has already been very involved in Quebec City. She founded the first photography studio in 1854 in the building that now houses the St. Patrick's Pub. Each gin and vodka brewed by Top Resto Group will bear the name of one of the members of this family. The first being the Jules-Ernest gin. Three recipes are already developed. In addition to food, La Maison Livernois is a tasting place. There are many kinds of Quebec gins and a laboratory to educate people.

We stopped here to have a drink & a bite on a rainy day. Bar service was good & the bartender made a good martini. But what I don’t understand is the classic poutine. It was the worst poutine we have ever had. The fries were good but the sauce was oddly sweet & tangy like they mixed bbq sauce into the gravy. Then they threw cold cheese curds on top & called it a day.
Came home & made our own poutine with jarred gravy & mozzarella just to make up for it & ours was better.

Mercredi le 4 octobre j'ai accompagné pour le souper un groupe de 25 personnes. Nous étions 50 entassés dans la même pièce au plafond bas, sans aire conditionné, sans pouvoir ouvrir la fenêtre & une odeur nauséabonde. Pas moyen de discuter... c'est comme ça, c'est tout. Avertis des intolérances au poisson & une personne coeliaque c'était comme si on ne savait rien & difficile, très difficile d'obtenir ce qu'il fallait. La nourriture était douteuse & la propreté brillait pour son absence. Toilettes indescriptibles... & je n'ose pas penser aux cuisines. La soi-disante gérante s'en foutait de tout. Alors je dois leurs dire un gros merci d'avoir scrapé ma journée. Maison Livernois indigne de ma belle ville.
