Happy to see a good pastries in Quebec City! The desserts look beautiful. Croissants are buttery & crispy. Mile feuille, although excellent, is not a mile feuille & I feel overpriced. I try to stop by when I am in town.
Desserts are slightly more sweet than I would have liked, but this is more of a personal preference.

Giving less stars because the place is disorganized, service is slow, tables are dirty, & we kept getting cut in the line by people trying to use the small garbage can inconveniently placed at the back of the store.

Don't understand the hype. The croissant is not crispy at allllll. Not enough lamination. When you bite in a good croissant, the flakes should fall everywhere. Nothing fell off lol
Tried two other desserts & it was very mediocre. Perhaps my expectation was too high given the 4.9 review. However, the croissant price was very fair at $2.90 CAD. A good croissant in Toronto is at least $5+

Pâtisserie Chouquette is an absolute gem. We tried a cream puff & a pain au chocolat, & both were outstanding-but the croissant dough was next-level. Flaky, buttery, perfectly layered-I'll be craving & dreaming about that croissant for years to come. You can see the bakers at work behind the counter while you wait in line, & the whole shop smells like rich, quality melted chocolate. They use local, high-quality butter in all their desserts, & you can truly taste the difference. It's the kind of place that turns a quick stop into a core memory. My only regret is that it's 3,000 km from my home-if I lived nearby, I'd be a regular. Don't miss this spot if you're in Quebec City. It's worth going out of your way for.

Une amie m'a fait découvrir cette pâtisserie & je recommande. Issue d'une famille de pâtissiers, c'était un plaisir pour notre famille de retrouver les saveurs, la finition & le travail de qualité. Nous avons goûté les chouquettes natures, les chouquettes spéciales & plusieurs desserts. Nous y retournerons c'est sûr. Merci pour ce bon moment. 💕

Absolutely fantastic pastries & cakes! This place is definitely worth to stop at while you're in Quebec City. Even if you're not into desserts, they also offer a wide selection of other pastries! The chouquettes are bite (or 2 bites ;) sized & are topped with cream & filled with filling. The crust is soft with a hint of crunchiness, & the cream along with the filling offers the perfect combination of sweetness, crunchiness, & flavour. The Mille-Feuille is very delicious as well. With multilayered crust along with cream fillings in between, the combination really brings out the buttery & sweetness of this treat. Lastly, the pistachio eclair was wonderful & filled with rich & smooth pistachio cream along with raspberry jam, a classic combo that cannot be beaten. Highly recommend if you're visiting Quebec City!

Pâtisserie Chouquette is an absolute must-visit! This charming dessert spot blew me away with its amazing selection. The staff were incredibly friendly & took the time to recommend treats based on our preferences, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The shop was spotless, & despite a line of customers, the staff handled everything with patience & grace. I would honestly recommend trying everything on the menu-you can't go wrong with any item! Each bite was simply divine. If you're a dessert lover, this place is a dream come true!

Meilleures pâtisseries à vie! Un petit trésor caché à Québec. Avant de mourir, vous devez goûter à leur mille-feuille! Tout le monde mérite d'avoir la larme à l'oeil à déguster leurs desserts. Merci'd'exister.
