A great setting overall - beautiful views of the lake & fjord, right in a central location by the water & the quai. It's a semi-outdoor venue with a roof & heaters, so it works well even on cooler days, & the staff were friendly throughout. The menu is large enough to suit pretty much anyone, & the drink selection stood out too - we had two of the non-alcoholic beers, which were excellent. The seafood burger was well-prepared & flavorful, with reasonable portion sizes for a main.
That said, a few dishes missed the mark. The bruschetta appetizer came across more like a pizza - cheese on top, soggy bread - & the homemade BBQ sauce on the chicken tasted like watery ketchup. The fries were thin & airy, closer to a fast-food style, though the paprika-smoky seasoning was a nice touch. Overall, it felt a bit pricey for the size & quality of the food.
Verdict: Worth going back for drinks, & we'd likely stick to the seafood & fish options next time since that's where the menu really shines.
Good selection of draught beers made on the premises.
Food was varied. extremely small appetitive dishes & then large portions for the main course.
Very reasonable $23 3 course lunch offers.
There are tables at ground level with glass panels that help to shield one from the strong wind.
Good service.
Very near the cruise terminal & the bus turn around area.
I hardly ever write reviews but felt that the service, food & view were worth writing about. We arrived by cruise ship & dined here for lunch. Restaurant was well organised & prepared. English menus available. My husband enjoyed the non-alcoholic IPA beer on offer & the Pinot Grigio was excellent. The stand out for me was the Tidal Wave Waffle Cone with lobster, scallops, crab & shrimp (cold filling). What a delightful mix of savoury filling with the Waffle Cone. Chicken burger was great too. Thank you for great service , exciting menu & perfect drinks. Fond memories of Saguenay. 😍
The service was Good, the beer is very good. The food was awful. This is a good place to drink & look at the view. Do not eat the food!
