Ne vous laissez pas berner par le look modeste de l'extérieur, car dans la salle à manger moderne blanche qui bat au rythme d'une musique pop anodine trône un maître à l'oeuvre.

Un bon fish & chips implique non seulement du bon poisson, mais aussi de bonnes frites. Chez Phil's, chaque élément est réussi. La panure est croustillante à l'extérieur, moelleuse à l'intérieur. Le poisson est frais, tendre & juteux sans être trop aqueux. & les frites, rien de moins que parfaites. Les repas à emporter sont tout aussi excellents. Particulièrement le steak & liver pie.

Je suggère fortement d'aller plus loin que le fish & chips & de partager le combo pour 2 personnes (la purée de pois verts & la saucisse frite sont exquises), afin d'apprivoiser ce monstre mal-aimé qu'est la cuisine britannique. Vous remettrez en question tout ce qu'on vous a appris. Vous sortirez changés, & c'est d'ailleurs ce que tout bon restaurant devrait faire.🇬🇧

Ça faisait longtemps que je voulais visiter Phil's Fish & Chips & je suis finalement allé aujourd'hui pour essayer la Fameuse Poutine Fish n Chips. Quelle belle surprise! Une très grosse portion de frites délicieuses, des boulettes de Fish n Chips savoureuses avec des ingrédients frais & une sauce plus qu'incroyable! J'ai naturellement voté la note parfaite pour la Poutine Week parce que ce plat le mérite grandement 👌 Perso, j'ajouterais de la déco encore plus Britannique au restaurant, quand on fait une si bonne nourriture, il y a de quoi être fier des origines 🤩 PS: La sauce vaut le détour, même pas besoin de ketchup je vous assure 😉

I am in love ! I am a big fan of fish & chips & I have tried many places but at Phil's fish & chips I found the perfect combination of size, flavor, taste & staff friendliness. The place from far doesn't look much, but what's inside is a "bijou". Very happy with the place. Sitting place are a bit uncomfortable after a while, but so worth the detour. Would most likely return to this charming place.

Je ne sais pas ssi j'aurai assez de volonté un jour pour me procurer un autre repas de Fish&Chips que celui de Phil. Quand on y a goûté, on se demande si celui de Phil ne devrait pas avoir une dénomination protégée tellement il surpasse tous les autres que j'ai mangés.🥇
