Tomamos café no hotel , valeu pela experiência. Mas o buffet de comida nao é muito igual a de hotéis comuns. Valeu mesmo
Pela experiência de estar tomando café no Fairmont
The breakfast experience here was surprisingly disappointing for a hotel of this level.
First, the selection was quite limited. More importantly, the fruit was clearly not fresh. The strawberries looked wilted, & when I tried one it tasted dry, sour, & almost bitter.
Second, the waiting system was very poorly managed. We had to wait around 30 minutes just to get seated. During that time we asked the front desk three separate times, & each time we were told it would be another 10-15 minutes.
Only after we became visibly frustrated did they suddenly say a table was available & let us in.
If you can't host that many guests for breakfast, get more tables. Plus, the food was NOR WORTH the wait anyways..
We weren't staying at the hotel but we were still able to have breakfast here one day. The food was great. There was a wide array of food available & it was all very good. The apple juice was also really tasty. It was more like apple cider & we really enjoyed it. The staff were very welcoming & spoke English which was really helpful for us. The only reason I gave it four stars & not five is because it cost $50 per person for a breakfast buffet. It was a good breakfast but that price is a bit high.
Great breakfast option in a stunning, iconic location. For around $35 USD, you get as much food as you'd like (did not capture everything in the photo) along with drip coffee & views of the St. Lawrence River. We enjoyed everything we ate, particularly the assortment of pastries, & had a wonderful time exploring the hotel's boutiques afterwords.
We were so lucky to be able to get a table for high tea at this lovely location! There was a cancelation, & Miguel was able to give us a table in the room overlooking the terrace. There was a wonderful pianist with live music. The tasty bites on all of the courses were delectable! I had the cream Earl gray tea, which is a specialty of the restaurant. I wasn't sure when our waitress said there were hints of maple also in the flavor. It turned out to be so creamy & delicious! I ended up buying some at the store in the hotel. Our waitress was so personable & took time to talk with us & tell us about life in Quebec. This was a not to be missed experience!
A good buffet breakfast if you are staying at the hotel. The hostess will let you sit where you want when you say you will pick your own seat. Good food. Good service.
Solid hotel breakfast buffet with comforting breakfast classics & friendly service. Came here for breakfast during our recent stay at the hotel. Given the size of the Fairmont Frontenac, I anticipated its restaurant to be busy, especially in the morning. However, I was surprised to find out that it was almost empty when we arrived at around 7:30 AM. The buffet selections were fairly basic. It featured a decent range of savory & sweet items, including waffles, scrambled eggs, breakfast pastries, fruits, & an array of charcuterie like prosciutto & cheese. So I ended up getting only one plate, & some of the standouts included the freshly squeezed apple juice, the ham slices with horseradish sauce, & the croissant. However, the other items on my plate were fairly average in comparison. One of the servers insisted that we try their maple pudding, & it turned out to be a nice sugary finish to our meal. Its flavor & texture reminded me of honey cornbread drenched in maple syrup, & its comforting & homey taste was quite pleasing. For guests at the Fairmont Frontenac with complimentary breakfast included, the Place Dufferin buffet is a convenient & satisfying option. However, if you have to pay out of pocket for the buffet, I'd suggest exploring other breakfast or brunch restaurants around town as there are so many better options.
We had the breakfast buffet here as the other hotel restaurants aren't open yet. The food was great, but there is so much to choose from that we probably would have been better to choose the a la carte option instead of the buffet. The restaurant is right on the Dufferin terrace, so you get to see the boardwalk but not the view of the river.
Tried the breakfast buffet on our last morning. Food was okay, selection for vegetarians/vegans was very limited. The crepes were good. Overall, the service was lacking as I was not offered tea or coffee when seated & I had to search for a waiter to ask for some juice. The check was placed on my table as soon as I sat down to eat my first plate of food, even though I was clearly not ready to pay yet. After paying, I realized the cashier had not asked for my Accor All membership to credit the points, & upon returning to ask for it to be added to my account, one of the hostesses standing around was extremely argumentative & unhelpful, even though I let her know my taxi was waiting. I've had much better experiences in four-star hotel restaurants.
