A cozy bar in Old Quebec! A great selection of beers, & a shot of delicious Quebec maple whisky for $3. We didn't sample the food but would 100% recommend for drinks

Delicious food for a bar, the smoked nachos are a gem, the local beer tasted amazing & the extra shot of maple syrup infused whiskey made it all worth it. Definitely will return !

Great place to stop & grab a drink. They have a good selection of local beers, a cave-like historic interior, & the bartender/server were super personable. I was a fan of their music choices as well

This review, unfortunately centers on drinks only as we had dinner reservations elsewhere. The Margarita was refreshingly served in a Martini glass & half the rim was coated in salt, a very wise move by the bartender, appealing to those that like, or not like the briny flavor. My wife thought it was the best she'd ever tasted, in her life, & she can be hard as nails. My red ale was also enjoyed. We sat at a table on the street & under an umbrella, watching passersby's which is always great fun. Love Old Quebec. Merci.

Stopped here for our first night in Quebec City. Ended up being a hike from our hotel but it was worth the walk. Had a few pints with $3 shots of maple whiskey (never had it before but it's great). Service was great, bar tender was super cool. Enjoyed the cave like feeling from the old cellar walls. Played ring toss & cards our whole time there. Will definitely be returning!

Great little bar! It was like going to a bar you were a regular at with how the staff & patrons treat you. You have to try the whiskey maple syrup shots!

This place will be hard to top! I had looked it up ahead time & we were so excited to go. The atmosphere was unreal! The coolest historic building I've ever been to. Was so cool to be in a cellar from the 1600's! It's a small place, smaller than the photos make it look, but the bartenders were amazing, so friendly & welcoming! They loved feeding us the maple whisky shots with every beer that was ordered, for only $3, & the long island iced tea was delicious! We had the French onion soup & it was delicious! That's all we are there. I think if you're looking for food specifically, maybe this isn't the place as the menu is limited, but if you're looking for a fun atmosphere, cozy with a fire, friendly people, this is the place! We went back both nights we were there & the bartender remembered us. No bar topped this for the rest of the time we were there!

Gave me everything I needed from a cosy bar in a historic snd beautiful building. Music wasn't too loud. The host was very pleasant. Food was quite good. I enjoyed the hot dog & melted brie. Beer variety was limited but covered a reasonable range.

We popped in for a drink & snack last night. I give 5 stars for atmosphere, as the pub was quite busy & lively. The pub was in some old cellars by the looks of it & had a wood fire roaring away, which was a blessing as it was so cold outside. I only give 3 stars for food & service because the service was very slow. We waited 1hr 15mins for soup & hot dog. One group left before food arrived as they were waiting longer than us. There were only 2 staff working though, so there's that. My wifes onion soup was very nice, my hot dog was ok. I'm not sure how hygienic the cooking area was though. Twice, I saw the guy behind the bar cough above the bowls as he was pouring soup into them. Occasionally, he rinsed his hands under the tap with plain water. Good for drinks, not for food (in my opinion).

Bartender was great! We didn't eat. Just enjoyed the experience...one of the coolest bars we've ever been in! Completely done in stone its as if you're in a cave! This bar had obviously been there a long time!
A must visit in QC
