We popped in here for a drink on a Thursday evening before dinner elsewhere. It's a great little brick-walled pub with friendly servers. Ended up having two pints of beer & two shots of maple whiskey which we really enjoyed
Très belle ambiance, un joli cadre qui nous renvoie dans un vieux pub. J'ai adoré
Atmosphere was amazing, drinks were great, staff were super friendly & people in the pub were friendly too. Will come back for sure! Stopped in to warm up & stayed 2 hours it was so great.
Beautiful old pub that's well worth a visit. However very limited food menu so just go for the drinks. NB Kids are not allowed in at all.
Cosy pub with a fireplace, which was great as it was very cold outside. We had a late lunch of french onion soup & a smoked meat sandwich, which were quite nice. The person who served us was friendly & helped with menu choices.
We popped in for a drink & snack last night. I give 5 stars for atmosphere, as the pub was quite busy & lively. The pub was in some old cellars by the looks of it & had a wood fire roaring away, which was a blessing as it was so cold outside. I only give 3 stars for food & service because the service was very slow. We waited 1hr 15mins for soup & hot dog. One group left before food arrived as they were waiting longer than us. There were only 2 staff working though, so there's that. My wifes onion soup was very nice, my hot dog was ok. I'm not sure how hygienic the cooking area was though. Twice, I saw the guy behind the bar cough above the bowls as he was pouring soup into them. Occasionally, he rinsed his hands under the tap with plain water. Good for drinks, not for food (in my opinion).
Quiet & cozy. Had mulled wine & crab cakes. Both were delicious. Wanted French Onion soup, but it was not available. Wish I had more time in Quebec City; I would visit the pub again.
