J'adore le Château, mais j'ai été très déçue du brunch au Champlain. 😕
Le café était très ordinaire, & peu de choix pour la nourriture était malheureusement tiède. La présentation manquait également de soin. Très peu de variété au niveau des olives & des fromages, & dans l'ensemble, je trouve que la qualité & la diversité n'étaient vraiment pas à la hauteur du prix demandé. 💰
Nous étions un groupe de 10 personnes &, malheureusement, nous avons tous eu la même impression : très décevant pour un brunch de ce niveau & à ce prix.
J'espère que le Château apportera des améliorations, car j'aime beaucoup cet endroit & je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux.

Menu 6 services (mini mini portions), selon moi, ça ne vaut clairement pas le prix de 189$/personne surtout que la qualité était assez ordinaire. Ce resto n'a clairement plus la prestance attendue. Si vous voulez manger au Château Frontenac, le bistro Sam est vraiment meilleur & varié. En prime, avec plus d'ambiance.

Superbe expérience culinaire au Brunch du temps des Fêtes au prestigieux restaurant Le Champlain à l'emblématique Château Frontenac. Un service professionnel & sympathique avec un brunch hallucinant des entrées de fruits de mer jusqu'aux desserts! La table du Roi était magnifique & spectaculaire. Un must du temps des Fêtes! Ça commence toujours très bien l'année. Une tradition depuis 2 ans que j'aimerais bien continuer encore longtemps. Bonne Année 2026!

Un souper au Restaurant Champlain, c'est vivre un moment à part dans un lieu qui impressionne dès l'arrivée. Installé dans le prestigieux Château Frontenac, l'endroit dégage une élégance classique, sans être trop guindé. Le service de valet ajoute au confort général, surtout quand on veut pleinement profiter de la soirée.

Le menu met de l'avant les produits locaux avec finesse. Chaque plat est soigné, réfléchi, & bien exécuté. On goûte le souci du détail, autant dans les saveurs que dans la présentation. Rien de trop complexe ou prétentieux : juste de la bonne cuisine faite avec coeur & maîtrise.

La carte des vins mérite d'être soulignée. Les accords proposés s'agencent naturellement avec les plats & permettent de vivre une expérience complète à table. Petite mise en garde : après deux ou trois accords bien sentis, mieux vaut ne pas avoir à reprendre le volant.

Le service était à la hauteur du lieu. Wilson, notre serveur, a été attentif, efficace & de bon conseil, tout en gardant une approche humaine & chaleureuse. Il a clairement contribué à rendre la soirée plus agréable.

En résumé, le Restaurant Champlain offre une expérience gastronomique digne du cadre exceptionnel dans lequel il se trouve. Ce n'est pas un endroit pour les soupers de semaine improvisés, mais pour une occasion spéciale, c'est un choix que je referais sans hésiter. On en sort rassasié, satisfait, & avec un petit quelque chose en plus qu'on garde en mémoire.

Located in the iconic Château Frontenac, the ambiance is nothing short of magical-perfect for a special occasion or a memorable evening. The staff are outstanding: attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely committed to making your meal unforgettable. The atmosphere is warm & sophisticated, earning a perfect 5 stars for its charm & attention to detail. As for the food, it's a solid 4 stars. While the dishes are beautifully presented & made with high-quality ingredients, some lacked the "wow" factor you might expect at this level. Still, everything was very enjoyable, & the overall experience more than makes up for any minor shortcomings. Le Champlain is definitely worth a visit if you're in Québec City. The setting & service alone make it a standout destination!

Jean-francios G was a delight as a server as a culinary guide & as a human being. My wife & I came to the chateau Frontenac over Thanksgiving & we ate at this restaurant the first day we were there & the last day before we left. I can't say enough about how genuine informative & kind Jean Francois was as he took care of us during both meals. Further the head chef took us into the cheese & caviar room & with patient informative & charming. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The food was spectacular. The vegetarian courses, the meat courses, the wagyu steak, the amuse-bouche were amazing. You cannot go wrong trusting this fine establishment for your culinary & libation needs. Thank you

We stayed at the Chateau & booked dinner for two at La Champlain Restaurant. We ordered the seasonal prefix menu & everything was delicious. Best to be seated by the window if it's for lunch & best to be by the fireplace with the chandeliers for dinner. Great atmosphere & Jean-Pierre was an amazing waiter. Highly recommended!!!

Last evening we dined at the Chateau's gorgeous Le Champlain restaurant. A magical evening next to the windows with service extraordinaire. Our server not only a waiter but a sommelier as well, lent excellent food descriptions & in depth wine descriptions. His obvious enjoyment of his work & enthusiasm made our dining experience above & beyond expectations. The tasting menu paired with wines was worthy of destination dining.

We returned for our anniversary. The first day at the Chateau I went to the restaurant to ensure everything was confirmed with our reservation & location in the restaurant. On the Saturday night when we arrived they tried to seat us in the area with no windows. But then agreed to move us to atrium space. The meal was o.k. & certainly over priced at all in $425.00 for 2 people & 1 glass on wine. Also, if you want a first class restaurant, you should hire a professional interior designer to select your tables, chairs & lighting. Not your kitchen staff.
