Six years ago my wife & I ate at La Central in Peru. We thought the meal was fantastic & it featured all local ingredients from the different elevations in Peru. Last year it received the #1 ranked restaurant distinction in the World. Last night we ate at La Taniere & had the same experience & vibe. In fact, we liked it even better. The local food & exquisite wine pairings matched the service & atmosphere of the beautiful Quebec City. The attention to detail was appreciated & the explanation of each course was amazing. 5 stars ⭐️

My husband & I dined here in September, & it was by far the most fabulous restaurant we have ever experienced. We have traveled worldwide & would fly back to Quebec City to have this experience again! Lengthy tasting menu well worth the hours. The time flew by & we were amazed that we didn't notice the over 3 1/2 hours. Wonderful wine pairing. Incredible atmosphere! I am an Interior Designer & extremely picky. I cant recommend Taniere highly enough. If you are lucky, you will be able to find a reservation.

I know a completely positive review isn't too helpful but our experience was amazing. The ambiance/rooms/lighting was really well done, the music in the different rooms was chosen well. The staff was knowledgeable, professional, & friendly. The food was stellar & the pairings well-thought-out, especially considering one of us had non-alcoholic pairings with a limited (pescatarian) menu.

If I *had* to nitpick, I'd have liked a little bigger wine with the cheese course (it was the Coteaux du Loire). It wasn't bad - just didn't live up to the other pairings. & it's really a stretch to think of that one thing.

I will recommend Taniere to anyone I know visiting Quebec who is interested in experiencing local food. Thank you again for an exciting experience.

The flavors were out of this world & the wine pairing was fantastic with the tasting menu. The atmosphere was intimate & I enjoyed the experience in such a cool & historic spot. The service was on point & they don't skimp on the portions either. Perfect place for the extra special occasion.

What a fantastic experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire meal & the collection wine + cocktail pairing. This restaurant without a doubt deserves at least two Michelin stars. Every server & staff was friendly, warm, & genuine. Thank you for making our Quebec City trip a highlight!

Our evening at Tanière was absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail in every aspect was incredible; the food, pairings, & staff were all outstanding. The historic nature of the building itself made the experience extra special. We look forward to returning!

Dining at Taniere was one of the best food experiences we have ever had. It is right up there with Blue Hill at Stone Barns, Core, & Per Se. This was as special occasion celebration for a milestone birthday & the experience went beyond expectations. From the moment the secret code was punched into the keypad, till the very last bite, everything was perfection. I especially was impressed with the non-alcohol pairings with the many courses - very inventive & delicious. We loved every minute & morsel! Truly a destination experience & was the highlight of our Quebec City adventure. Thank you!

We had a wonderful evening during our dining experience. The food was so interesting & the wine pairings were perfect. The service was excellent -- we enjoyed learning from everyone about what we were eating & we especially enjoyed learning about the wines. & the setting was the icing on the cake. We would come back to visit Quebec City again just to come to your restaurant!

Fantastic experience- we did wine pairing & were not disappointed. This is more than just dining, but rather a masterful sculpture or painting or a well directed orchestral performance or opera. If you enjoy fine food & great service then this should not be missed!
