Je dois avouer que je ne comprend pas les review précédentes. On est allé souper avec un groupe d'amis samedi soir & on a tellement été déçu. On s'était fait parler de l'ambiance, du bar & de la qualité de la bouffe. Finalement le band est parti a 21h un samedi soir alors que le resto était plein. Pour le service, nous avons reçu les entrées en même temps que les plats principaux & nous avons commandé des cocktails en fin de soirée pour se faire dire après avoir reçu la facture qu'on devait quitter 20 minutes après. La nourriture était bonne sans être exceptionnelle.

Une bonne cuisine typiquement péruvienne qui mérite d'être découverte, mais une expérience gâchée par un manque de constance dans la qualité des cocktails & du service. En effet, nous avons tous aimé notre premier verre, puis avons dû retourner les seconds qui étaient de moins bonne qualité. Certains éléments de nos repas étaient épuisés, mais ils furent remplacés sans préavis de la part de notre serveur. Nous nous sommes également senti encouragé à quitter le restaurant même si nous sommes parti 1h avant l'heure de fermeture.
Dommage car j'avais beaucoup apprécié ma précédente expérience au Lima, mais cette fois-ci le soucis du détail & qualité du service n'était pas au rendez-vous.
Tucked into the heart of the Saint Saveur neighborhood this gem boasts flavorful cocktails, fresh ceviche & stunning steak! Restaurant Lima, is a cozy bar & restaurant perfect for families, friends & couples. My wife, my teenaged daughter & I dined here & it felt like home. Our server Dorthee was fluent in English & French, so friendly & as energetic. We watched as she worked the room, mixed cocktails & took orders, she set the tone for the evening. We had octopus with purple mayo & beef empanada to start, my wife had one of their signature cocktails & none of them disappointed. The flavors were bright, tropical & savory. The octopus appetizer was fresh, light & flavorful, the olive oil mayo kept the taste light & it was brightened by a spritz of citrus. The empanada was crisp & airy & served hot out of the oven. For the main course we had the sea food risotto & our daughter had the steak strips & fries. The risotto featured all kinds of fresh seafood as described in the menu, topped with ceviche white fish & it was everything we hoped for & more, the flavors were fresh & lively! The steak & fries (a Peruvian specialty) was so savory & they chargrilled the tomatoes to perfection, it all melted in your mouth. The vibe was as vibrant as this up & coming neighborhood, as mentioned above it seemed like a local gathering place for couples, friends & families. All in all Restaurant bar Lima, is your cozy kick back in the heart of Saint Saveur, staff is friendly & energetic & the food is outstanding! We will definitely visit again.
Excellent souper ! Nous avons goûté le ceviche maison ainsi que celui aux champignons : un vrai délice. Les cocktails au pisco étaient également très bons. Le service est sympathique. Une très belle soirée
