Restaurant Lima, is a cozy bar & restaurant perfect for families, friends & couples. My wife, my teenaged daughter & I dined here & it felt like home. Our server Dorthee was fluent in English & French, so friendly & as energetic. We watched as she worked the room, mixed cocktails & took orders, she set the tone for the evening. We had octopus with purple mayo & beef empanada to start, my wife had one of their signature cocktails & none of them disappointed. The flavors were bright, tropical & savory. The octopus appetizer was fresh, light & flavorful, the olive oil mayo kept the taste light & it was brightened by a spritz of citrus. The empanada was crisp & airy & served hot out of the oven. For the main course we had the sea food risotto & our daughter had the steak strips & fries. The risotto featured all kinds of fresh seafood as described in the menu, topped with ceviche white fish & it was everything we hoped for & more, the flavors were fresh & lively! The steak & fries (a Peruvian specialty) was so savory & they chargrilled the tomatoes to perfection, it all melted in your mouth. The vibe was as vibrant as this up & coming neighborhood, as mentioned above it seemed like a local gathering place for couples, friends & families. All in all Restaurant bar Lima, is your cozy kick back in the heart of Saint Saveur, staff is friendly & energetic & the food is outstanding! We will definitely visit again.
Really good peruvian brunch in Quebec city! 10/10, clean restaurant, good music, totally recommend! :)
We had an absolutely outstanding dining experience at Lima Peruvian Restaurant in Old Quebec City. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, with a vibrant energy that matched the flavors on the plate.
Every dish was a celebration of fresh ingredients & authentic Peruvian flair-beautifully presented & bursting with flavor. From the perfectly balanced ceviche to the tender, aromatic mains, each bite was memorable.
A special mention to Alicia, our server, who was exceptional. She was warm, attentive, & genuinely passionate about the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations that made our evening even better. Her friendly personality & impeccable service elevated the whole experience.
If you're visiting Old Quebec & looking for a culinary adventure that delights all the senses, Lima is an absolute must.
Amazing food, huge portions, love the place, the flavors are super close to the traditional Peruvian food, really love this place
Lima Resto Bar is an absolute gem! The food was incredible, easily the best Peruvian cuisine I've ever had. Every dish was full of flavor & beautifully presented. Even my picky eater kids were raving about it, which says a lot!
The service was just as impressive. Gerson was extremely friendly, attentive, & welcoming from the moment we walked in. The location is also super convenient, with plenty of street parking nearby, which made the whole experience even better.
Highly recommend Lima Resto Bar to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Peruvian food in a relaxed & inviting setting. We'll definitely be back!
Second time trying Peruvian food here & it was such a good experience! The server, Dorotee, recommended amazing dishes & cocktails. She made the night even better. Definitely a must-visit spot!
Very underwhelming experience from a place that has so many good reviews! We were excited to find a Peruvian restaurant in Quebec City & after looking at the photos of the food & reviews decided to go.
As we arrived, we were surprised to see how small the place was! There were many tables open since we went on a Monday night. Our options for a 2 person table were literally right next to the door or the bathroom. We chose the one closest to the bathroom to avoid the cold breeze but had to put up with the smell of febreze.
We ordered a seafood platter for two & waited almost 40 minutes for it to arrive. The shrimp causas were extremely simple & not tasty, the ceviche was good, the fried fish was good but there was no sauce to eat it with besides a small thing of huancaina sauce, & the seafood rice was ok. It also took an eternity for the server to refill water & there was no communication for the reason as to why the food took so long to come out. It was not a busy night! We left disappointed & surprisingly still a little hungry.
A great restaurant with great Peruvian cusine. The causa de pollo, the lomo salteado & the maracuya sour are a must to try ! Thanks to Dorothea for an extraordinary service !!!!
This is not your typical restaurant in QC for a tourist to go to but we love Peruvian food so we chose the "off the beaten path" restaurant. For a Sunday night, there were only 3 tables taken in the whole restaurant - which didn't quite give it the best vibe. Drink-wise - as usual, the Pisco Sours are our go to. Very flavorful - just wish they were colder & not luke-warm. For food - we got the Choritos a la Chalaca to start. Beautiful presentation & delicious stuffed mussels. Presented on 4 spoons. We then got the Ceviche al racoto & Chaufa de mariscos. The ceviche was very much like our appetizer (didn't realize it when we ordered it) but in a much larger portion. The Chaufa was seafood based & very good. BUT - it was way too much food for two people. We asked if it would be too much & he said no. It was way too much. In the States, the Ceviches are usually much smaller & we thought we were getting 2 smaller dishes & the Chaufa. Not at all. I would recommend the restaurant - but would recommend ordering less food than we did.
