Premièrement, je dois dire que la nourriture était excellente : savoureuse & très bonne. La seule critique que j'ai à faire concerne le rapport qualité-prix. J'ai pris l'assiette pollo saltado à 30 $. Vous pouvez voir sur la photo qu'il y avait très peu de poulet, accompagné de frites & de riz blanc… donc deux féculents.
On s'entend que ça ne vaut pas vraiment 30 $. Des frites & du riz, ça ne coûte presque rien, & il y avait seulement 6 ou 7 petits morceaux de poulet.
Ceci étant dit, j'ai quand même aimé la nourriture. Par contre, pour ma part, je n'y retournerais pas. Le service était bon, il manque peut-être un peu d'ambiance, mais mis à part ça, on a passé un beau moment. J'imagine que les autres plats valent davantage la peine. Une chance que j'avais un coupon Antidote, parce que payer 30 $ pour quelques morceaux de poulet avec beaucoup de riz & de frites, je ne suis pas certain que j'aurais apprécié autant.
Nous avons trouvé des tables libres. Le service des deux serveuses était excellent ; attentives & disponibles, elles ont répondu à toutes nos questions & se sont toujours montrées prévenantes. La cuisine était délicieuse, avec des portions généreuses & une carte variée pour satisfaire tous les goûts. En résumé, une expérience formidable, à recommander sans hésiter.
We visited this restaurant one evening & were really excited to see there was live music. The singer was performing Latin music & honestly brought such a great vibe to the place. Unfortunately we didn't get his name, but he was very talented & kind, so props to him for making the atmosphere enjoyable.
Our experience with the service & food, however, was disappointing. Our server, a blonde girl, seemed like she was not enjoying being there at all. She wasn't rude, but her energy felt very dull & disconnected the whole night, which affected the experience.
The wait time for the food was also extremely long - around 30 to 40 minutes. When the food finally arrived, it was very underwhelming. We ordered the chicharrón mixto, & for the price, the portion of chicharrón was surprisingly small. The fries were also disappointing, which was frustrating because fries are usually hard to get wrong.
We also ordered chaufa fried rice, but the texture of the rice felt overly soft & mushy rather than properly fried. On a positive note, the ingredients did taste fresh, which we appreciated.
The drinks were very tasty but they put way too much ice.
Still, overall, the meal was disappointing enough that we barely ate it. We took the food to go, but honestly after only a few bites we had already lost interest in finishing it. The live music was definitely the highlight of the night, but sadly the food & overall service did not match the atmosphere.
