Having traveled part of the globe to demonstrate the richness of our culture and our traditions, the idea of creating Sagamité was born from the desire to make known our beautiful culture at home in Wendake.

The Sagamité Restaurant in Wendake was founded in 1999 and since then, we have been welcoming local, regional and worldwide customers curious to discover our culture through a gastronomic experience. The name of the restaurant testifies to this by its name; for the Wendat, Sagamité was at the heart of our diet. It is a soup-meal enriched with game where we find the famous “Three Sisters”: squash, corn and red beans, that we cultivate.

Since July 2019, the Sagamité Vieux-Québec restaurant has been introducing First Nations gastronomy to visitors to the historic district of Québec.

The Sagamité restaurant has traced the path of Aboriginal gastronomy, which we have demystified over time thanks to game. It is an establishment of choice for a clientele curious to live a gourmet and cultural experience at the same time.

The Saga Nomade Food Truck can be found all around Québec City and is also available for private events. Our specialties include our Signature poutine and our Elk burger. This is street food with an indigenous twist!

Restaurant au coeur de la réserve de Wendake, avec une décoration rustique. Restaurant de viande qui propose un plat signature: la potence.
La viande cependant était trop cuite dommage… le service était un peu long également
Les assiettes sont très copieuses & les serveurs très sympathiques

I had a lovely meal here following a long cold day. I suggest trying the Yatista/Potence meals. They are incredible & the presentation is wonderful. Also, the maple pie was phenomenal.

Quelle expérience ! J'ai pris la potence à deux viandes & quel délice ! Le service était impeccable, l'atmosphère sobre & intime. Bref, je recommande fortement ! Cuisine authentique autochtone. 👍

Nous sommes allés souper deux couples d'amis avec nos enfants. Nous étions 10. Nous avions réservés (car un soir de relâche).
Super belle table, super service. Notre serveur était expérimenté & connaissait également les vins. Nous avons choisi tous des plats différents. Les assiettes étaient superbes & excellentes. Je suis allergique à l'ail, oignons, ciboulette & je n'ai eu aucune inquiétude. Les plats sont frais & pas préparer à l'avance ce qui est maintenant rare. La viande de gibier est excellent & nos enfants se sont régalés.
Je recommande La Potence aux 3 gibiers 👌

Potence de trois panaches was excellent. Game meat is not cheap but it was excellently prepared. The duck salad was also excellent.

Nous avons adoré notre expérience. Serveur très attentionné. Nous avons dégusté au menu le forfait potence incluant viande de cerfs, de wapitis & de bisons. C'était excellent. Un beau moment à reproduire. ❤️
