Having traveled part of the globe to demonstrate the richness of our culture and our traditions, the idea of creating Sagamité was born from the desire to make known our beautiful culture at home in Wendake.

The Sagamité Restaurant in Wendake was founded in 1999 and since then, we have been welcoming local, regional and worldwide customers curious to discover our culture through a gastronomic experience. The name of the restaurant testifies to this by its name; for the Wendat, Sagamité was at the heart of our diet. It is a soup-meal enriched with game where we find the famous “Three Sisters”: squash, corn and red beans, that we cultivate.

Since July 2019, the Sagamité Vieux-Québec restaurant has been introducing First Nations gastronomy to visitors to the historic district of Québec.

The Sagamité restaurant has traced the path of Aboriginal gastronomy, which we have demystified over time thanks to game. It is an establishment of choice for a clientele curious to live a gourmet and cultural experience at the same time.

The Saga Nomade Food Truck can be found all around Québec City and is also available for private events. Our specialties include our Signature poutine and our Elk burger. This is street food with an indigenous twist!

We had an exceptional dining experience at Sagamite enjoying authentic Native American cuisine with game meats. The atmosphere was cozy, & the service was excellent. The ravioli filled with tender venison & smoky bison was truly exceptional. A culinary delight that comes highly recommended!

The dining experience here was enjoyable, but perhaps a bit expensive. We did the three meat combo, & while much of the meat was delicious, one of the pieces was mostly tendon & wasn't edible. It would have been better to have nicer cuts of meat. The maple pie was delicious! Overall, a unique dining experience, but we weren't impressed by the food.

Nice to dine at a first Nations owned establishment. The waiter was enthusiastic & was kind. He spoke English with us & recommended some of the great food.

Service EXCELLENT par Sophie. La serveuse était rapide, courtoise & très gentille. Nous avons très bien mangé & avons adoré l'expérience. Nous allons définitivement revenir & redemander Sophie comme serveuse

Nous y sommes allés à 4 adultes & 4 enfants pour le déjeuner, c'était tellement bon! Je vous conseille le bison, le burger de wapiti, le chasseur & le canard. Un délice ! Merci à l'équipe de la Sagamité.

Excellent restaurant with great food & a lovely atmosphere. We were there for breakfast & all of the food was delicious. Well seasoned & very tasty meat. We have allergies & they did a great job ensuring that our dietary restrictions were respected. Will certainly come back out next trip to Quebec, hopefully for supper that time!

We wanted to try an authentic Native American food & we found this place close to the old town & the citadel. Interesting atmosphere & friendly staff. Our waiter was so helpful explaining a d describing all their menu options. I would definitely recommend ordering their special menu deals including wild meat on a rock with soup/salad & dessert included, really good deal for the price!
