Having traveled part of the globe to demonstrate the richness of our culture and our traditions, the idea of creating Sagamité was born from the desire to make known our beautiful culture at home in Wendake.

The Sagamité Restaurant in Wendake was founded in 1999 and since then, we have been welcoming local, regional and worldwide customers curious to discover our culture through a gastronomic experience. The name of the restaurant testifies to this by its name; for the Wendat, Sagamité was at the heart of our diet. It is a soup-meal enriched with game where we find the famous “Three Sisters”: squash, corn and red beans, that we cultivate.

Since July 2019, the Sagamité Vieux-Québec restaurant has been introducing First Nations gastronomy to visitors to the historic district of Québec.

The Sagamité restaurant has traced the path of Aboriginal gastronomy, which we have demystified over time thanks to game. It is an establishment of choice for a clientele curious to live a gourmet and cultural experience at the same time.

The Saga Nomade Food Truck can be found all around Québec City and is also available for private events. Our specialties include our Signature poutine and our Elk burger. This is street food with an indigenous twist!

Service & food was great. Had the three antlers meal & was not disappointed (except that it finished). I recommend trying Sagamite out if in the area & interested in trying deer, bison, elk etc.

We came here for lunch, the restaurant was not that crowded, we can feel a passion from the owner & the staff about what they serve which is appreciable. We take their special recommendation « Yatista : trois panaches », it's an experience as they blaze the meat with alcohol, the meat is melting in your mouse. The side is home made & excellent as well. The only negative point for me is the price, 170$ for 2 (taxes + tip), the portion is not that generous, 8oz per person, the side quite small, it's too expensive for what we eat. I would come back if the restaurant proposes a more competitive price. I personally don't like the second thought where you are thinking about the price after eating & disappointed about it …

VERY expensive & seriously disappointing, at least our meal of fish. Very overcook smoked salmon & trout with a thick sauce that had a skin (mine) & overcooked walleye (my wife). The sagamite soup starter & salad was delicious but after that...not good. Also amazing is that the silverware was cheap cafeteria-grade & we were instructed to keep it from course to course. Wild! Oh well, live & learn. :-(

Très belle découverte. Notre hôtel offrait le petit déjeuner à ce restaurant. Je vous conseille de payer un petit supplément & de demander la carte régulière pour essayer leurs spécialités. Les saveurs étaient au rendez vous! Nous avons adoré!

Had a wonderful experience here. The food & drinks we got were fantastic, I would highly recommend the bison ribs. The prices are high, but the quality of the food & service made for good reason. Our waiter was friendly & was excellent to chat with, & he was very helpful with the menu & any questions we had too.
