Having traveled part of the globe to demonstrate the richness of our culture and our traditions, the idea of creating Sagamité was born from the desire to make known our beautiful culture at home in Wendake.

The Sagamité Restaurant in Wendake was founded in 1999 and since then, we have been welcoming local, regional and worldwide customers curious to discover our culture through a gastronomic experience. The name of the restaurant testifies to this by its name; for the Wendat, Sagamité was at the heart of our diet. It is a soup-meal enriched with game where we find the famous “Three Sisters”: squash, corn and red beans, that we cultivate.

Since July 2019, the Sagamité Vieux-Québec restaurant has been introducing First Nations gastronomy to visitors to the historic district of Québec.

The Sagamité restaurant has traced the path of Aboriginal gastronomy, which we have demystified over time thanks to game. It is an establishment of choice for a clientele curious to live a gourmet and cultural experience at the same time.

Immersion dans le monde savoureusement culinaire du restaurant Sagamité. Une première pour ma blonde. 😊. Pour ma part, une troisième fois. C'était SPLENDIDE. 👌😍. Magnifique potence aux 3 viandes. Cerf, wapiti & bison accompagné de sauces mayonnaises dont une aux cèpes totalement surprenante. & quoi de mieux que de terminer le repas avec une crème brûlée au coureur des bois fumée au smoker à la saveur d'érable & du bison de la potence. TOTALEMENT DÉCADENT. La touche qui fait LA différence entre toutes les crèmes brûlées. Je les conseillent très fortement.

L'assiette était bonne mais ce n'était as chaud. Le service était très ordinaire, un seul serveur pour plusieurs tables. Sa façon de s'adresser aux clients était peu professionnel

This was a unique experience, the menu was totally different than the ones we are usually accustomed to. We were glad to find a restaurant that was using in their recipes ingredients that the native population was traditionally using. The food was great & unique. But the service we had from our waiter (Robert) was outstanding, he was fluent in French, English & Spanish & he was able to manage in others as well. Five stars for all categories.

Un gros wow sur toute la ligne! C'était ma première fois au Sagamité & j'ai franchement adoré! La nourriture est goûteuse & les portions tellement généreuses. Notre serveuse Caroline a donné un excellent service également. Je recommande!
