Having traveled part of the globe to demonstrate the richness of our culture and our traditions, the idea of creating Sagamité was born from the desire to make known our beautiful culture at home in Wendake.

The Sagamité Restaurant in Wendake was founded in 1999 and since then, we have been welcoming local, regional and worldwide customers curious to discover our culture through a gastronomic experience. The name of the restaurant testifies to this by its name; for the Wendat, Sagamité was at the heart of our diet. It is a soup-meal enriched with game where we find the famous “Three Sisters”: squash, corn and red beans, that we cultivate.

Since July 2019, the Sagamité Vieux-Québec restaurant has been introducing First Nations gastronomy to visitors to the historic district of Québec.

The Sagamité restaurant has traced the path of Aboriginal gastronomy, which we have demystified over time thanks to game. It is an establishment of choice for a clientele curious to live a gourmet and cultural experience at the same time.

The Saga Nomade Food Truck can be found all around Québec City and is also available for private events. Our specialties include our Signature poutine and our Elk burger. This is street food with an indigenous twist!

Clairement c'est une grande réussite.
Les activités & l'ambiance sont remarquables & intéressantes.
Je suis plus réservé sur le restaurant que j'ai apprécié mais être enthousiasmé.
Il y a un problème sur l'organisation des services & la coordination :
- J'ai demandé une bouilloire pour faire mon thé & tisanes. L'accueil me renvoie au restaurant qui me renvoie aux services techniques ... je découvre que le téléphone de la chambre ne fonctionne pas. Impossible donc d'appeler le service ... Je retourne à l'accueil où je reçois des réponses contradictoires (utilisez la machine a café, utilisez l'eau chaude du robinet, oui on va vous fournir une bouilloire) ... Je finis par tenter la machine à café pour un résultat médiocre.
Une personne du service technique intervient pour le problème de téléphone mais sans succès (problème au niveau du central téléphonique). J'ai tout de même une solution : un téléphone dans le hall.
Enfin les lieux de rdv ne sont pas affichés à l'accueil. Je trouve cela dommage.
Dernier problème : la carte d'accès à la piscine que l'on m'a donnée à l'arrivée fonctionne mal.
Dommage que ces petits disfonctionnements gâchent la bonne impression due à l'amabilité du personnel dans son ensemble.

J'aimerais vraiment beaucoup que la tradition du tambour (désolée je ne connais pas le nom) soit aussi pour le restaurant sur la rue St-Louis revienne ça m'a beaucoup déçu d'apprendre que c'est juste à celui de WendaKe.

Our visits were for breakfast as part of our stay at the Hotel Maison Du General & the overall impression we received was that for those of us there for ‘free' breakfasts i.e., included in the cost of our hotel stay, we are not terribly welcome. The first morning my 16yr old kids were allowed a juice with their breakfast. This 2nd morning we were not permitted juice & we were told it would cost extra. Coffee is included, but my kids don't drink coffee & having tried the coffee on the first morning, I was happy to go without, so it was water for us. The food is decent enough though.
