We had an americano & a cappuccino, along with a big croissant & a pastel de nata-everything was delicious. The atmosphere was very chill & relaxing. Definitely recommended!
Coffee was fine & well prepared & the croissants tasted day old. But we were more upset by the guy behind the cash. When in Quebec, we think that it is important to speak in French, & so we did. Despite understanding everything we said, the guy behind the cash refused to speak back to us in French, despite us responding only in French. He couldn't have been less disinterested in his job or more passive aggressive in disdain for us non-Francophones. We don't need to spend $25 for two croissants & two coffees just to have someone be so obvious in his disrespect for non-Francophones. We won't be back.
We tried a hot chocolate, coffee, ham & cheese croissant & waffles. Everything was good.
This is an amazing breakfast & pastry place! The croissants & quiche were excellent! I highly recommend it
My wife & I stopped in here to grab a quick breakfast before heading back to the U.S. Biggest croissant I have ever had & it had good flavor. Also had a slice of some berry topped cake which was very sweet & definitely worth it. Would definitely come back if we visit again.
Great place to warm up with coffee or hot chocolate & a fantastic croissant. The baking is something from your dreams. Delicious!
I don't mind tipping but honestly, if you are going to let your staff ask for a tip while not even serving the table it would be nice for them to at least warm up the cold hard bakery ( croissant & chocolatine) from not sure if the day before. It was really unpleasant, & no I did not return to the counter to ask for them to warm it up as there were 15 people doing the line I couldn't get even to them.
Lovely place, good coffee but a surprisingly poor croissant! I ordered a coffee & sandwich initially & was impressed so decided to have a croissant as I was still hungry, sadly something that should have been the baseline of a good cafe was very bready. Stick to the sandwiches & coffee
The sun is rising & there are a sprinkling of us tourists roaming around Quebec City ahead of the crowds. This was the first cafe I saw opened this early so I popped in. I had the Croissant Smith & a grand mochaccino. The staffer was bi-lingual so I asked in English if she could warm up the sandwich. Obvi something was lost in translation as the top of the croissant was barely warm to the touch with the ham & cheese still chilled. Oh well, it's food & it's edible. I sat outdoors to feel the sunrise to watch others walk through this historic part of Old Quebec known as Place Royale. The area was founded in 1608 & has a wonderful mix of buildings & stone street with French & British influences. What a lovely start to the day.
