They treated us as if we were bothering them when ordering our food. The tables & toilets were dirty, & the lemonade we order was not freshly made. Wouldn't recommend it.
Beautiful, secluded courtyard to enjoy coffee. Alot,of sparrows (wrens?) to eat your crumbs.
The double chocolate muffin doesn't even taste like single chocolate
La verdad se ve bien bonito, seguro que el café está de vicio. Espero ir lo más pronto posible
We stopped by Café La Maison Smith for breakfast during our visit to Québec City, & it was a great way to start the day. The café has a cozy atmosphere with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. Even though it was busy, the service was friendly & efficient.
We ordered a few different breakfast items, including a quiche, pastries, & coffee, & everything was fresh & delicious. The quiche was light, flavorful, & perfectly baked, while the pastries were buttery, flaky, & tasted like they had just come out of the oven. The coffee was excellent as well & paired perfectly with the food.
What stood out most was the quality of the ingredients & the attention to detail in everything we tried. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. Whether you're looking for a quick coffee & pastry or a relaxing breakfast before exploring the city, this café is definitely worth a visit.
I would happily come back the next time I'm in Québec City & would recommend it to anyone looking for a great breakfast & excellent coffee.
Première & dernière fois ici. Le café a 8$ & je l'ai retourné au 3 quart remplis tellement il était médiocre. Ça goutait l'eau.
The cashier was not very helpful when I was trying to place my order. There was no English ingredient or product information displayed under the pastries, so I asked a few questions to better understand what they were. However, her facial expression made me feel uncomfortable asking for more information. On the other hand, the barista was very friendly & greeted everyone as soon as they entered the store.
A great local chain.y wife & I had a croissant & a chanson with apple (kind of an apple danish) with cafe au lait. It was very tasty. The apple was more apple sauce & the croissant could have been butterier but still good. The cafe au lait was the star though. Nicely creamy & served at a good drinking temperature. More cafes should learn from that to help with turn over. Atmosphere was good but hard not to be in the center of vieux Quebec. It was crowded at 9:30 am but that was to be expected & turn over was good.
