We had the 4-course signature tasting menu with wine pairing & had a great culinary experience. Every dish was beautifully presented, well balanced, & thoughtfully paired with wine.

Theo provided excellent, attentive & professional service. The pacing was perfect-we never felt rushed & had plenty of time to enjoy each course.

Pricing is on the higher side, but reasonable considering the quality of the food, presentation, wine pairings & service.

Overall, a memorable experience & definitely worth trying for a special occasion.

In a charming French country esoteric decor, we had a fantastic dinner. Catherine, our host/waitress for this gastronomical event, was amazing: attentive & so knowledgeable. We took the 4 courses surprise menu. The chef accommodated my partner's food allergies wonderfully as well. The overall experience was an explosion of carefully selected & combined flavors that makes you enjoy every bite. The suggested wine pairing was exactly right enhancing the meal. This place is a gem!

Absolutely the best experience! Without hesitation, do the blind tasting + wine pairing-- it was top-notch! The service was unmatched, especially since they discovered I was celebrating my 40th Birthday & the staff made it very special.

This restaurant is deserving of all its praise & recognition. My wife & I enjoyed the tasting menu experience, four delicious, creative, surprising dishes. The recommended cocktail & wine pairings were perfect. Outstanding service from every member of the team. A truly wonderful evening in a relaxed, yet comfortably elegant environment.

An amazing meal. The tartare had the potential to be an overly produced dish, but every element was exactly on point. Our server, Jade, was sweet & engaging, & made incredible wine pairing recommendations.

Had the blind tasting menu with wine pairing. Amazing food, the experience was just perfect. Our favourite was the gazpacho, every spoonful was the perfect balance of flavours. Merci!!

Lovely meal experience at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. We chose the chef's tasting menu which included 4 diverse, delicious courses, & a wine pairing. The staff was knowledgable, enthusiastic, & bilingual in French & English, which really helped as they explained each course. Pricing felt quite reasonable as well. We loved the ambiance & the way they honoured the heritage of the building/restaurant. Would not hesitate to recommend or return.

My wife & I often spend a few weekends each year in Québec City, & on this trip we decided to try Chez Rioux based on several recommendations. Since it's Michelin?recommended, we were excited to experience what it had to offer.

We were seated at 5:50 PM & ordered the 4-course tasting menu with wine pairing as suggested by our server as we were first time guests. The whole experience lasted 3 hours. During that time, we watched multiple tables of 4-6 diners who arrived later finish their meals & leave.

Unfortunately, while each dish was good & paired well with the wines they chose, for a bill of over $450 for two people none stood out as particularly memorable or worth returning for, & we both felt the à la carte options looked more appealing than what we received. We left feeling underwhelmed & still hungry.

The atmosphere is cozy & charming, Unfortunately, the service didn't match the ambiance. We waited more than 20-30 minutes or more between each course. Although our servers were friendly, their explanations were difficult to follow.

Overall, while Chez Rioux may appeal to diners who enjoy this particular style of tasting menu, we didn't feel the experience justified the cost. Aside from the décor, the evening was disappointing, especially at this price point.
