AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

Plusieurs reliques empruntées à cette époque ont trouvé leur place dans notre décor actuel. Vous souhaitez vivre l’immersion signée Rioux & Pettigrew?

Wonderful food! We had the tasting menu. Highly recommend. I paired the wine w food. It was really special. Every course was spectacular!

Our first night in Quebec so we chose a restaurant nearby to our hotel. Sounded like our kind of restaurant. We love sitting at the bar & the evening was off to a great start with Jeremy. We wanted to try the blind tasting menu but opted for a la carte as we wanted to try certain dishes. The oysters & bread were perfect & could have made that our dinner. Jeremy recommended a great bottle of wine too. All servers were wonderful. A perfect start to our holiday.

This was a wonderful restaurant! My cocktail (like the Aviation) was one of the best I've ever had & the chef is so creative in putting the dishes together!Everything we tried was delicious. We had the smoked meat dish, the lobster dish, the bread serving, & the cavatelli. All so delicious. I wish this restaurant were here in Chicago because I'd definitely go back. Also, I would love to try his tasting menu. . . the people next to us had some amazing dishes on that menu. I highly recommend this restaurant. One of the best in the city.

Very interesting types of food(s) put together to make delicious dishes. Presentation is lovely. Small plates, so for two get the tasting menu or you can easily share three entrees (which we did) & split a dessert. It was perfect. & the bread is a must...yummy.

Our group of 8 had the tasting menu with wine pairing & it was one of the best meals we had in Quebec. The presentation, attention to detail, & staff were incredible. Thank you

Absolutely amazing blind 4 course tasting menu. Will definitely return, but would skip the wine pairings as some of these were not to my taste

A delightful, local eatery with magnificent foods presented beautifully & not overly large. The tasting menu is the best way to experience the chef's creations, with equally good wines. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable.

Friendly & welcoming experience. Comfortable & eclectic atmosphere. The 4 course tasting menu with wine pairings was excellent! We had a great business meeting & thoroughly enjoyed the food & service!
