The restaurant ambiance is intimate & comfortable. The food was very good. We ordered a la carte, but you van choose a 5-course blind tasting menu too. Service was excellent!

Incredible meal, wonderful service. Every bite of the tasting menu was absolutely delicious. Even the kids meal that they suggested for our 3 year old was amazing. Highly recommended!

Fantastic food! We had tasting menu with wine pairings. The only complaint we have is with the choice of wine with dessert. The wine served was effervescent & quite tart. It did not compliment the dessert . A wine sweeter than the sweetness of the dessert would be more appropriate.

creative menu showcases chefs talent. overall experience is good, however, service could be improve - twice during the tasting menu, we need to ask for utensils when the next course was served

My wife, daughter & I arrived for our 8:30pm reservation & seated along with two other groups who reserved at the same time. Our waiter was friendly, personable, & passionate about the food being served. To say the food here was delicious is an understatement. We ordered 9 of 12 dishes from their seasonal menu & everything was excellent!! The chef & his team know their flavours & how to coax the best from all the local ingredients they use in every dish. Each course was well-thought out-prepared & layered with complex flavours. It's rare that you find a place where every dish is both unique & tasty. The two other tables seated at the same time, were also in agreement. A foodie from Toronto said..." the food in Toronto is not as good as this!" I said, ..." unfortunately I will have to agree with you... the food in Vancouver is not as good as this (generally speaking). My wife & daughter who are not octopus nor beef tartare eaters, they loved those dishes- a surprise for me. I said I would come back tomorrow to order several dishes all over again, if only they were open for lunch! As I write this, I would easily reorder the: scallops n smoked clams tartare, octopus, amazing homemade pasta with perfect poached egg & carmalized goat cheese, & their smoky layered black pudding, although every dish we had was good. The tasting dishes are still very substantial & certainly worth more than what one is paying here compared to other fine dining places & I think they need to charge more for the time, energy, & detail that goes into every dish!
One needs to make a reservation , the waiter said they turned away so many requests that day because they are a small restaurant.
We loved the rustic laid back decor & the non-nouvelle -pretenciousness of other places without true substance nor the heart. of Chez Rioux & Pettigrew.
I give CRP a big satisfying recommend, we will return again, from Vancouve
