AFFAMÉS D’HISTOIRE?

Le 160, rue Saint-Paul s’est toujours avéré un lieu où les ingrédients et le service de qualité supérieurs font la loi. Fondé en 1860 par Narcisse Rioux, le magasin général Chez Rioux & Pettigrew fournissait aux restaurateurs, aux épiciers, aux hôpitaux et aux communautés religieuses une grande variété de produits locaux ou d’importation.

Barils de mélasse, poches de farine, sucre, gruau, fruits et légumes en conserves, épices, noix, raisins secs, chocolat, bonbons présentés sur des étalages… On y trouvait même de l’alcool jusqu’à la création de la Commission des liqueurs en 1921!

We had the dégustation menu 4 services with wine pairings. Food:WOW!!! What an unbelievable experience. Wine: all private imports & great pairings. The cab from cement VAT was so totally different & tasting the real grapes, that in itself was worth it. Let's do it again soon.

Really great food, cocktails & wine, with knowledgeable servers & good atmosphere. Jeremy at the bar walked us through everything & we really enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend & return.

Food & atmosphere were excellent. Upon arriving we were seated in a back room while waiting for our seats at the bar to be readied. Unfortunately, it was a bit chaotic as our seats were ready as they opened our bottle of wine & the switch was not terrbly smooth...we could have waited the extra couple of minutes to be seated making the entire process less awkward. The host, although trying to be helpful, had no working knowledge of a very nice reserve wine list & seemingly no ability to clarify between 3 selections I was deciding between. The bartender who also acted as our waiter was outstanding! He was juggling many responsibilities simultaneously but he did a great job. Very nicely executed menu. I look forward to returning in the future & would definitely recommend the place.

We greatly enjoyed our dinner at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew. The service was excellent; the courses were well paced for the 4 delicious blind courses, & the wine pairings were wonderful. We would highly recommend it!

A fabulous dinner (4 course experience with wine pairings) & outstanding service. One of our best dining experiences ever, except for the subzero windy walk to & from, but we'll worth it.

Wonderful service & an amazing meal. We had the chef's choice & the wine pairing. Super fun meal, we weren't rushed, really enjoyed chatting with our server behind the bar. Thanks for a great night!

A wonderful meal- we had the chef's tasting with wine pairing. The tastes were varied & subtle.. absolutely delicious & felt luxurious. The servers were knowledgeable & attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is casual & relaxed & not stuffy despite the good food- highly recommend.

My boyfriend & I had dinner at Chez Rioux & Pettigrew on New Year's Day & had an incredible time. We decided to opt for the nicer wine pairing & each wine paired incredibly with the meal. Every dish was unique & robust - carefully created & so flavorful. My favorite was the scallops! The atmosphere is really cozy & comfortable, despite the food experience mirroring that of fine dining, which we loved. We got high quality food in a comfortable & inviting environment! So glad we made a reservation, it helped make our vacation really special.

The oysters & bubbles add on was fabulous, the dessert wasn't very good , too bitter, & first course with mussels was too fishy, the rest was delicious & presentation beautiful, the reserve wine paring was perfect & excellent service from the waitress, very attentive
