The atmosphere & service were fantastic & incredibly welcoming! The kitchen is located right behind the bar, & the food was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed the French onion soup & the chèvre salad, both of which were really, really good! Highly recommend this spot for a relaxed & delicious meal while in Quebec.

Their food is really great -both brunch & dinner- but I highly recommend dinner!! I get their mushroom risotto & french onion soup every year whenever I visit Quebec City. I recommend booking a reservation on weekends. The servers are very nice & welcoming too.

En soirée à Québec, nous sommes venus dans ce restaurant en nous fiant aux avis consultés, qui étaient plutôt bons. Quelle déception !
Nous avons commandé l'hamburger à la saucisse, alors que celui-ci était indiqué comme étant au boeuf. Nous avons donc demandé à la serveuse de se renseigner auprès du chef. Sa réponse a été pour le moins surprenante : « Allez voir le chef ! »
Le service a été tout simplement minable… Nul, nul, nul ! Le personnel est même venu jeter les couverts alors que nous étions encore à table, ce qui est particulièrement déplacé.
Quant à la focaccia, elle ressemblait davantage à du vulgaire pain toasté qu'à une véritable focaccia.
Bref, une très mauvaise expérience. Nous nous attendions à beaucoup mieux au vu des avis & nous sommes repartis extrêmement déçus. Je ne recommande absolument pas.

Must visit! We went here for lunch on a weekday after a long hike up & down the Montmercy falls.

We were seated next to a window (what a wonderful table!) & were served by Flora May. She was an exceptionally sweet, polite & frank server - didn't oversell, kept it real & all with a smiling face.

We had their French onion soup & Snails along with their house wine. The portions were good & the taste was just wow! It kept lingering. Had a nice French experience. Definitely recommend if you're around.

Fabulous restaurant not far from the main street.
Staff are attentive & friendly & happy to chat (despite how busy & popular the place is) & help with choices.
We both had French Onion Soup to start - a huge portion & incredibly tasty! We then had bavette & confit duck salad - again fabulous.
If you have room for dessert try the maple syrup pie - delicious!!
Totally recommend this exceptional find!

Charming little place with staff who genuinely care about their clientele. Beef tartare was very good. Salmon was exquisite. Mushroom risotto with duck confit added was rich & delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Gets very busy, so a reservation is recommended.

Chez Temporel is such a charming little restaurant, tucked just a few steps away from one of QC's main drags. My family had a very positive experience here; the service was stellar, & the menu simple, yet accessible. I'm not quite sure my photos do justice to the food, but I promise it was all very tasty. I would definitely recommend & return to Chez Temporel!
