Lovely charm, attentive servers (not always easy to find in Ville QC). & the food... We started with a fantastic French Onion soup, & shared a couple entrees: a yummy hamburger that was perfectly grilled, & a mushroom risotto that was out of this world. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted - all the creaminess & flavour you want from a risotto, with the added texture of some puffed rice, roasted pumpkin seeds & slivered almonds. Incredible meal.
This place is a hidden place off the usual tracks of tourists. I ordered an onion soup & a main dish. The onion soup was made ok but a bit too salty for my taste buds. Then, after some time, the waiter came & told me the chicken (my main dish) was sold out. That was like an hour after I ordered. Waiter was helpful but the experience was bad.
Must visit! We went here for lunch on a weekday after a long hike up & down the Montmercy falls.
We were seated next to a window (what a wonderful table!) & were served by Flora May. She was an exceptionally sweet, polite & frank server - didn't oversell, kept it real & all with a smiling face.
We had their French onion soup & Snails along with their house wine. The portions were good & the taste was just wow! It kept lingering. Had a nice French experience. Definitely recommend if you're around.
Fabulous restaurant not far from the main street.
Staff are attentive & friendly & happy to chat (despite how busy & popular the place is) & help with choices.
We both had French Onion Soup to start - a huge portion & incredibly tasty! We then had bavette & confit duck salad - again fabulous.
If you have room for dessert try the maple syrup pie - delicious!!
Totally recommend this exceptional find!
I really loved the soup of the day, Gazpacho. It was delicious. & my friend had the risotto while I had this croissant with shrimp & a delicious side salad. We ordered local Canadian red wine. & for dessert, we split a piece of maple syrup pie. It was so good. Try this restaurant. You'll love it.
Cozy little spot with a warm, local feel. Tried the French onion soup, & it was really good-rich, cheesy, & comforting. The atmosphere felt relaxed & hidden-gem style, & the staff were friendly. A nice place to stop for a simple French meal in Québec.
This place was recommended to us by a friend & it did not disappoint!! Really high quality food that was perfectly seasoned & a great ambiance. I especially loved the mushroom risotto & tomato soup.
