Afficher toutsoup(63) recommend(50) french(43) duck(40) risotto(35) onion soup(33) cozy(33) salad(33) gem(30) wine(29) highly recommend(28) lunch(27)Very friendly service, a cozy & casual atmosphere, & delicious dishes with an original mix of ingredients. However, I was disappointed to see a discrepancy in the final price of the duck risotto. On the menu, it was listed as $29 plus $15 (total $44), but I was charged $45 on the bill. Even if the difference is just $1, the prices charged should always match what is displayed on the menu. Transparency & accuracy in billing are very important for customer trust.
We chose this place after the first two places we tried were booked. THANK GOODNESS! We shared the Escargot Au Gratin. It was great. My wife had the shrimp & lobster roll. I had the mushroom risotto. We loved all of it. The atmosphere was cozy. The service was excellent. Can't say enough good things
Chez Temporel is a cozy, charming café that completely exceeded my expectations. Tucked away on a quiet street in Old Quebec, it has a warm & welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like a local. I only had a few drinks & the olive appetizer but I'm absolutely positive that everything else on the menu is perfect 👌
The service was friendly & unpretentious, with staff who clearly care about the experience. Maybe they could easily tell i wasnt from the area but they made sure to explain some great spots to hit on my weekend getaway in Quebec.
To all my fellow American travelers or honestly anyone; whether you're looking for a relaxing breakfast, a laid-back lunch, or just a place to unwind with a good book & a great espresso, Chez Temporel is a spot you have to stop by. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Quebec City!
Thank you so much for making my experience in Quebec!
Very cute very cozy. Reasonable prices very high quality product. Had snails & French onion soup 😮?💨 will be returning for supper mains!
What a cozy & inviting experience. This place feels like a hidden gem. (At least to us.). It was off the beaten path. We went for a late breakfast & ended up sampling a divine lunch that included duck & fisherman's pie. The attention & care along with the service made this a place we will definitely return to when we are return to Quebec City.
Such a hidden gem - just tucked away off the main street & absolutely worth it! This cozy little restaurant recently celebrated 50 years, & it's easy to see why it's stood the test of time. The menu is small, but everything is done perfectly. The service is so warm & unpretentious - we dined in with our toddler & baby & felt completely at ease. For dinner, we loved the French onion soup & fisherman's pie, & our toddler couldn't get enough of his grilled cheese. We came back for brunch & really enjoyed the homemade hot chocolate, croque madame, & classic egg benedict. Highly recommend!
On my week long vacation here in Quebec City, I have had the pleasure of eating at some really great restaurants, however this was by far the best! The owner & the staff along with his sister who waited on us, made sure we were well taken care of. The food was excellent & the atmosphere was perfectly cozy on a cold winter day. We had a late lunch & will be coming back for brunch on our last day out. This is the sort of place that you will want to come back to time & time again.
We had the Christmas 4 course dinner & it was amazing. I am a little confused by the previous reviews especially regarding the service. They had our food out quick & were constantly refilling our waters. It felt very cozy in the restaurant. Considering it was a 4 course meal they usually come out in smaller portions but it was plenty of food. My favorite part was the soup, it was very flavorful. The dessert part of the 4 course menu was okay but ultimately this was a great experience all around. I think maybe some were not prepared for the Christmas day 4 course meal only option.
FANTASTIC MEAL!! I hardly ever write reviews but this place was amazing!!! It's a hidden gem with excellent food, great staff, & cozy vibe. I had the mushroom risotto with duck confit & it is probably one of the best meals I've ever had!! Do not miss this if you are in Québec City!!!!
What a nice restaurant. Cozy, approachable. Delicious food... small menu which is great. Good service.
