We were here for the first time & liked everything very much. It is located on a quiet street. The atmosphere in the establishment is very cozy & pleasant. The service is excellent, the waiters are friendly & attentive to details. The dishes are a special pleasure. We tried gazpacho, onion soup, risotto, duck leg & dessert. Everything is very tasty & fresh, you can feel that it is prepared from fresh products. The duck leg was very tender & juicy
Stumbled across this sweet little French restaurant & ended up eating here two nights in a row. Risotto with duck confit - OUTSTANDING! & shrimp-filled croissant equally great. Good wine list too! What a find, & off the well-beaten tourist path in a quiet, quaint street!
Great food. Service was spot on. Great little busy restaurant in Vieux Quebec. Mushroom risotto was spot on.
Wonderful gem of a place we found! Lovely charm, attentive servers (not always easy to find in Ville QC). & the food... We started with a fantastic French Onion soup, & shared a couple entrees: a yummy hamburger that was perfectly grilled, & a mushroom risotto that was out of this world. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was one of the best dishes I've ever tasted - all the creaminess & flavour you want from a risotto, with the added texture of some puffed rice, roasted pumpkin seeds & slivered almonds. Incredible meal.
Charming little place with staff who genuinely care about their clientele. Beef tartare was very good. Salmon was exquisite. Mushroom risotto with duck confit added was rich & delicious. Nice selection of wines by the glass. Gets very busy, so a reservation is recommended.
The foie gras was incredibly creative & a pleasant surprise. I never would have imagined pairing foie gras with apple, but it worked beautifully. The foie gras was silky smooth & melted in my mouth, while the apple added just the right amount of freshness to cut through the richness.
The beef tartare was seasoned with a blend of ingredients I couldn't identify, creating a unique, well-balanced flavor that was both complex & delicious.
The duck confit risotto was rich with stock, creamy, & packed with savory flavor.
I really loved the soup of the day, Gazpacho. It was delicious. & my friend had the risotto while I had this croissant with shrimp & a delicious side salad. We ordered local Canadian red wine. & for dessert, we split a piece of maple syrup pie. It was so good. Try this restaurant. You'll love it.
