Escargot & French onion soup were nice. Unfortunately my chair suddenly broke under me & I fell hard to the ground, my table fell & glasses broke in the process. Staff apologized but that was the extent of the managing of the event to my knowledge. Hope they pay more attention to quality & safety of their establishment in the future.
My first visit to Quebec City. Glad to find out this place for a nice dinner. Not in the middle of core city center, but it's pretty close by. Enjoy the relax atmosphere of the restaurant. Food is really fantastic. We ordered onion soup, escargot & foie gras terrine. Also crème burlee. Service is excellent too. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Quebec City.
Amazing French onion soup. The beef tartare was good as well
Definitely recommend the mushroom risotto, love the crunchiness of the nuts added to this dish.
Wow! This place is a gem. Fantastic meals , wine & great service. We had the salmon & French onion soup & they both were fantastic. We tried a local white wine & were impressed. Highly recommend.
Quaint restaurant with divine French onion soup. Enjoyed mushroom risotto with duck, shrimp roll, escargot, cafe latte, couple of glasses of wine, slice of sugar pie. Waitress did a good job- she was the solo server.
I had a wonderful dinner here. The French onion soup was fantastic & the risotto was out of this world! Best risotto I've ever had!! The owner was 1 of the people who took care of me & was very nice & accommodating. The night I went was very busy but the service didn't lack at all. I cannot wait to come back to the city so I can come back to this restaurant!
Very cute very cozy. Reasonable prices very high quality product. Had snails & French onion soup 😮?💨 will be returning for supper mains!
Such a hidden gem - just tucked away off the main street & absolutely worth it! This cozy little restaurant recently celebrated 50 years, & it's easy to see why it's stood the test of time. The menu is small, but everything is done perfectly. The service is so warm & unpretentious - we dined in with our toddler & baby & felt completely at ease. For dinner, we loved the French onion soup & fisherman's pie, & our toddler couldn't get enough of his grilled cheese. We came back for brunch & really enjoyed the homemade hot chocolate, croque madame, & classic egg benedict. Highly recommend!
Stopped here for lunch after reading about it. My wife is a huge french onion soup lover & someone said they had the best in town. She was actually pretty angry because she didn't get much cheese on her soup & the guy next to us got a ton. I kept telling her she got the less because we are Americans . Regardless, the soup was exceptional it has incredible flavor & I agree it is one of the best French Onion soups i've had. She also got a burger & I got the Seafood pie. It was basically Shepard pie with shrimp & scallops. & was very very satisfying. The only draw back is that I am a fat f & the tables are spaced pretty close together. Not a lot of room to move. Otherwise, the food , the service & the price made for a wonderful lunch.
Great service, & incredible food! We walked in without a reservation, & the downstairs looked quite busy. Luckily they were able to still sit us as they actually have a second floor which was almost empty & very quiet (which we preferred) Ordered the Beef Tartare & the French Onion soup & they were both very good. Some of the best I've tried! We ordered some beers & everything came quite quick. Really happy with the location & quality of the restaurant & food. Thanks!
