What a delightful find & our top choice for dining during our weekend in Old Quebec! We had the pleasure of visiting twice, once for dinner & once for brunch, & sampled a total of 9 different items, all of which were delicious. Our favorites included the onion soup, squash soup, Caesar salad, & the remarkable key lime pie. Speaking of the key lime pie, it’s a hidden gem not featured on the menu & not available every day, but it’s a real treat, resembling crème brûlée with the perfect balance of sweetness.
Adding to the charm, the restaurant is nestled in an antique setting that provides a peaceful escape from the bustling main streets, avoiding the noise & crowds. The staff, while friendly, appeared to be a bit short-handed at times, resulting in occasional delays in service. Nevertheless, it was a great dining experience that we would highly recommend.

Small restaurant off the main tourist area. Excellent onion soup, lamb, creme boule.

There were 4 of us: one reported the tomato/strawberry salad was fabulous; one said the cod over pea soup was quite good, especially the soup part, & well prepared; one was satisfied; I was disappointed in the so-called Cesar salad--the romaine was great, but the dressing was disappointing, lacked flavor, & was certainly not Cesar & the duck confit was good but unremarkable. We very much enjoyed everything else, especially the ambiance & host person.

Only French soup was good. The rest are so so. Kind of disappointed.

Quaint little bistro on a quiet street. Simple good food that is well prepared & fairly priced. Veggies were fresh & crisp. Staff were all extremely warm & welcoming & while they were very busy, they remained attentive. We shared the onion soup for openers & thought it quite good. Only disappointment was that they didn't have the lamb shanks or beef bourginon available even though it was 7:00 on a Saturday evening!

Dinner was great we had snails, foie gras, potatoe soup, scallops crudo, our main meal was Duck risotto & Octopus. We enjoyed thoroughly

This is a cozy gem of a place, half a block away from the busier streets. We were unlucky enough to be there on an evening when a chef had called in sick, so the main dishes on the menu were not available. Welcome to the world of small restaurants--& hence only four stars rather than five, since we didn't get back during our short stay & couldn't really sample the whole menu. But the onion soup was delicious, & the salad & open face sandwich we had were fine. The service was first rate & very friendly. We'd love to try them again sometime.

Had a wonderful dinner for Fete des Peres. Duck accompanied by roast vegetables with. puree, a cream of cauliflower soup, an excellent wine chosen by the owner, Louis. Finished with a tarte sirop d'erable with creme glacee & a cafe au lait. Excellent food, atmosphere & service. Recommend.

Excellent souper style bistro. Petit menu varié & très bien exécuté. Nous avions pris l'agneau & le pigeon. Tout était délicieux. Le service était très attentif & l'atmosphère intime & décontracté. Un très bon choix si vous voulez un petit joyau caché.
