We spent a few days in the Old Quebec City & decided to re-visit this local restaurant as we had been here 3 years ago & absolutely loved everything about it.
Three years ago it was highly recommended by a local tour guide that we randomly met on Rue St Jean. He told us then that if we are looking for authentic French cuisine food, Chez Temporel was the place to be.
As in 2022, we had a great experience & the food was absolutely to divine.
We had the Artichoke & Spinach Dip as an appetizer & it was amazing. So much different from all the other places we've had it before, with a completely different texture & with the warm toasted croutons, it was so delicious.
We continued with the Fishermen's Pie, one of the most delicious dishes I ever had. Complemented by a fresh salad with a great'zing' added by Ginger, it was absolutely sublime. The total French atmosphere was amazing as well.
So, if you really want to taste the difference & are looking for authentic French cuisine, take the few extra steps from the main strip in the Old Quebec City & enjoy this quaint restaurant. No wonder they've been in business for almost 50 years. Great food & atmosphere!
Very cute very cozy. Reasonable prices very high quality product. Had snails & French onion soup 😮?💨 will be returning for supper mains!
What a cozy & inviting experience. This place feels like a hidden gem. (At least to us.). It was off the beaten path. We went for a late breakfast & ended up sampling a divine lunch that included duck & fisherman's pie. The attention & care along with the service made this a place we will definitely return to when we are return to Quebec City.
Love this spot'off the beaten path'. Great coffee, food, atmosphere. Mostly French music - just a nice authentic Qc City bistro experience!
Resto-bistro dans un petit local, donc assez intime. Mention coup de coeur à la salade au canard (février 2024), bring it back!!!
What a beauriful discovery in Old Quebec. Food is top notch & definitely a hidden gem!!! The rissotto with duck is AMAZING.
Delicieux croque monsieur & blt croissant. Portions généreuses & gentil staff! Ambiance cute!
Super petit restaurant niché au coeur de Vieux-Québec. Je ne manque jamais une occasion d'y aller quand je suis de passage. La nourriture est délicieuse & le personnel est très sympathique. Je recommande vivement !
The staff were busy & rushing. Can't really enjoy the meal very well
