The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

An amazing meal in a spacious, calm setting.
Wait staff were attentive, efficient, friendly but unobtrusive, filling water glasses & pouring wine as needed. We opted for the three appetizer option having reached a point in our lives when smaller plates of multiple ingredients are more to our liking.
The wine list is extensive: something for every palette & pocket.
A truly memorable Quebec City experience.

The interior of the restaurant is lovely & the food was exceptional (mahi for my wife, scallops for me, each prepared in ways that we could never duplicate at home). Appetizer & dessert were delicious as well, & the di Sipio Colline Teatine Bianco from Abruzzo went perfectly with the seafood.

Timing is everything, & they have perfect timing. You don't feel rushed, or stuffed because off eating too fast. The Absolute best Amaretto Sour, wonderful breads, goat cheese appetizer. Duck duck yum. Beautiful atmosphere, creme brulee was tops.

Relaxed atmosphere where you feel comfortable wearing a jacket & tie or casual dress. Service was very warm & sincere. Food was excellent, highly recommend the warm goat cheese appetizer & the milk fed veal liver main❤️.👍

Our meal was a memorable one. The service was superb. We especially enjoyed the appetizers but our meal of roasted duck breast & the scallops were also delicious. Don't change anything in our book!

The service was outstanding. My partner couldn't decide between the blood pudding & lobster risotto. So they made an appetizer of blood pudding! Both were perfect. I had veal kidneys that were the best I've had. We will be back!
