The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

The food is absolutely delicious but the wait for it was extensive, so much so that of the three entrées I ordered for my dinner I only received two. However they were quite enough. A dessert would have been nice but we were tired by then. We

The interior of the restaurant is lovely & the food was exceptional (mahi for my wife, scallops for me, each prepared in ways that we could never duplicate at home). Appetizer & dessert were delicious as well, & the di Sipio Colline Teatine Bianco from Abruzzo went perfectly with the seafood.

Cute little restaurant in the middle of Old Town Quebec! Formal yet cozy atmosphere & decent food. Though my dad & I did not particularly like our flank steak (on the chewy side), my brother thoroughly enjoyed his lobster gnocchi. The dessert was just okay, as we ordered the tasting menu & did not receive any samples of the raspberry pastry also on the dessert menu so make sure to order that for dessert if you want it. Our server was polite & cordial. Overall a solid experience!

Fantastic service, excellent cocktails & wine list. Starters were outstanding, but main courses disappointed; salmon was a tad overcooked & the lobster gnocchi "with morels" had none. Had I known the kitchen was "immorel" I would have chosen a different dish. Desserts & coffee helped finish on a sweet note. We'll return, but next time stick to a selection of small plates.

This delightful restaurant provided all we were looking for after a fun day exploring beautiful Quebec City: very delicious food (from appetizer to dessert!), refreshing cocktails, & a charming & helpful wait staff ... we'll be back!
