The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

Everything was wonderful at this restaurant last night. Right from the moment we walked in the door, we felt very welcome. Our server was kind, efficient, funny & very accommodating & our food was spectacular. The goat cheese with tomato tapenade was terrific, my beef shoulder was delicious & cooked perfectly & my husband thoroughly enjoyed his halibut & flounder dish. I had the frangipane for dessert & my husband had the chocolate cake & both were beautifully presented & terrific. We shared a small cheese plate, which was great, & our server recommended a wonderful wine, so our meal was complete. Highly recommended!!

Lovely experience throughout. The wait staff were attentive without being overly so, the whole meal was well paced. The food was beautifully portioned & presented & delicious . The blood pudding stuffed cabbage roll was so good that my husband had to hold himself back from licking the plate! Highly recommend this restaurant.

We enjoyed ourselves very much. The food was really excellent, the service warm & attentive. It is not a "tourist spot" & located a little out of the way. One feels like this is where local people go for dinner. This is one of the best restaurants we have tried in Quebec City, & we would highly recommend it.

The service & food was impeccable. I loved the fish of the day dish -- it was exceptional -- & my partner equally enjoyed his riz de veau. I highly recommend the restaurant. It's friendly, unpretentious, & wonderful food & drinks.
