Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . My wife & I traveled to Quebec to celebrate our anniversary & we chose L'Echaudé for our celebration dinner. The ambience & food were excellent (we shared a charcuterie plate for appetizer & my wife had trout & I had beef tartare for our main courses). On that basis, I would give the restaurant 5 stars. We were a bit disappointed with the service: We ordered glasses of sparkling wine to begin & our waitress brought rosé instead. Even though I had alerted the restaurant that it was our 40th anniversary, there was no acknowledgement & our server didn't even ask if we were interested in dessert. Perhaps, this critique of service is a bit harsh, but I think it's reasonable for a restaurant that charges a premium for its food & wine.

Delicious, interesting food. Service was attentive but relaxing.
Salmon tartare was perfect, but a few more slices of bread would have been nice.
The trout was superb.
Will definitely go again next time we are visiting lovely Quebec City.

J'adore ce restaurant! Le service était excellent. Le tartare était parfaitement assaisonné & la
crème brûlée, divine. Le confit de canard aurait pu être un peu plus croustillant. Tout le reste, salade & potage, très savoureux. À très bientôt! Nous y retournerons.

This is the third or fourth time we have visited the restaurant & each time we have enjoyed the experience. This time the highlights were the duck three ways & the beef tartare. The service was impeccable from start to finish & we love the atmosphere. We will continue to visit every time we return to Quebec City.

Accueil agréable. Décor à la fois contemporain & chaleureux. On nous laisse choisir notre table, ce qui est toujours agréable. Rythme beaucoup trop rapide au début, mais tout est rentré dans l'ordre lorsque nous avons exprimé le souhait de prendre notre temps. Mon compagnon a apprécié son entrée de tartare de boeuf & son plat de canard. J'ai été moins séduite par mon entrée de chèvre chaud & par le tartare de boeuf. Service attentionné & courtois.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre soirée à L'Échaudé. L'ambiance, le service, le repas, croûton de chèvre suivi de tartares de saumon & mi-cuit, tout était parfait. Nous avons aussi été bien conseillés pour le vin. Nous recommandons!

Endroit avec une belle ambiance cuisine Sophistiquée mais attention de ne pas trop s'éloigner de leurs valeurs sure. Nous n'avons pas aimer le tartare de canard & le tataki manquait de oumfh. Mais le tartare de boeuf classique vaut le détour ainsi que le chèvre chaud. Le maître d'hôtel nous a conseillé un vin & il a su en quelques mots la bouteille parfaite pour notre soirée. Oui on y retournerait & je vous vous seille ce restaurant en amoureux ou en amis !
