The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . Trop cher pour ce que c'est ! Le plat de joue de boeuf goûte trop les olives. Nappe en papier fait un peu cheap. Par contre l'entrée de perdrix était très bonne !

Amazing little French restaurant. Busy (for good reason!), but away from the busy tourist areas. Incredible food & cocktails, lovely ambiance, & friendly staff. The lobster was delicious!

L'Echaudee a toujours été une de nos bonne table a Quebec. A notre dernière présence, le plat principal de tortellini était sec & nettement insuffisant comme portion (6 tortellinis en tout avec quelques champignons. La réponse du serveur était inappropriée aussi dans le sens que le plat principal doit être précédé d'une entrée. Dommage

We came here for the duck confit, but were only told after sitting down that all the duck-related entrées were unavailable for the night. Since it would have been difficult to find another place to eat at the last minute, we decided to stay. For appetizers, we ordered the veal tongue & the cheese plate for two. For our main entrées, we chose the fowl breast, beef tartare, & white fish, accompanied by two glasses of white wine & one cocktail. Unfortunately, none of the dishes were impressive. The cheese from the cheese plate wasn't even as good as the ones I get from the farm, the foie gras was very average, & the sausages were overly salty. For one of the white wines we ordered, there was something floating on the top. After we requested a new one, we noticed the waiter using a filter to strain the wine. We definitely won't be coming back & won't recommend this place to anyone.
