The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

Juste wow, tout est bon, la cuisson parfaite, des saveurs qui rendent heureux mon palais. Le service est impeccable & courtois 😀 C'était mon anniversaire pour mes 40ans , ils ont eu de belles petites attention dont un petit cocktail qui goûtait tout simplement le ciel & un petit dessert avec une chandelle..

J'avais entendu de très bons commentaires mais nous avons été déçus du ris de veau, très ordinaire & légumes mal cuits. Le bar (poisson) était bien mais cher pour la grosseur de l'assiette .

We believe our waiter didn't necessarily appreciate Americans. Although he did wear a fake smile, he was very rude toward us & did not visit our table at all. We actually had to get up & ask for service & drinks.

One of the best meals in many years of world travel. Impeccable food, impeccably served. Lovely short walk from anywhere in old Quebec. We had a unique gaspacho, perfect tartare, melt in your mouth lamb, & sweetbreads done only the way the French can do. I will return to Quebec just to have the pleasure of eating here again! Don't miss it!

A lovely bistro on a quiet street away from the tourist hotspots. All three appetizers that my family ordered (the veal tongue on potato salad, the gazpacho, & the green bean & zucchini cream soup) were incredibly delicious. The green bean & zucchini soup is the best soup that I have eaten to date! The entrees were just as tasty (the quail, the flank steak, & the duck confit) & I loved the sauce that came with the quail. Our waitress was very kind & attentive. If you visit & the weather is nice, enjoy your meal on the patio!
