The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . We're visiting Quebec City for a long weekend & I tried too late to get dinner reservations at L'Échaudé. So we settled for Saturday brunch, & were very happy with it.

My French isn't very good but the staff was very accomodating. We had Eggs Benedict with Roasted Mushrooms, & Poached Eggs with Salmon Rillette. Both were delicious & we wondered where in the universe the (ripe & delicious) melon in the fruit salad could be in season.

Champagne & Cermant de Bourgogne were delicious, & so was the coffee. Great service. Would love to go back.

Wonderful ambience, friendly & attentive service & the food was delicious! Our daughters age eight & twelve were offered a childrens menu but selected from both menus - they were well catered for. Our waiter went out of his way to seek help from the Barman to make our girls a non-alcoholic mixed drink that they didn't know. Great place for a special family meal. Highly recommended.
