The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

L'Échaudé est encore le même bon bistrot à visiter dans le vieux Québec comme nous l'avons fait depuis plus de trente ans a chacune de nos visites à Quebec.
Petites deceptions ..on ne sert que le menu Brunch le dimanche midi & impossible d'obtenir une eau pétillante autre que Eska...comme dans la plupart des restos à Québec!

We expected too much from this restaurant. After we were seated at 8:40 we sat for 20 minutes before I got up & asked for a waiter who promptly came with apologies. The appetizers were good but the steak was like a rock & they did take it off the bill. By 10 PM it seemed that the staff was in a rush to get us out & close. The wine very good. Overall pricey however we would give it another try.

Globalement inégal. Certains plats (surtout les entrées) étaient très bons, mais les autres étaient ordinaires. Très bruyant... impossible de suivre la conversation à table! Très bon service & localisation excellente!

The food was good but the service was not. We waited over an hour for our entire & the place was not very crowded. our waitress did everything possible to avoid eye contact with us because she did not want to confront us. 2 1/2 hours total fordinnerwas a bit much. while the food was good it was not so much over the top to compensation for the very slow service.

C'est notre 4è ou 5à visite à L'Échaudée & en aucun temps nous n'avons été déçus: service impeccable, nourriture de 1ère classe, ambiance très agréable, une carte des vins plus que respectable. Voilà ce que nous y trouvons fois après fois. Bravo & bonne continuation!
