The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . L'Échaudé is a neighborhood bistro atmosphere, a comfortable dining room or, alternatively, a terrace service on pedestrian street.

Restaurants are a key element of our travel & our experience at L'Echaude checked all the boxes - great service, lively local patrons (good vibe), terrific menu, & our meal was fantastic. There's a reason they've been around for 30 years - our best overall trip restaurant experience hands down!!

The food was good but the service not so much. We sat outside because the waitress said she could turn on the heat lamp but when ask she never did. They served us a drink but never check back in at least 40 minutes to see if we wanted another. We waited 50 minutes for our appetizer "salmon tartare". It was a late dinner, our reservation was 8:30pm so the restaurant wasn't super full to explain the time we waited. Our waitress needs training. A lot of back & forward with nothing in her hands. We were left with dirty/empty dishes on our table.

Outstanding food! Service & ambiance wonderful. We have been coming here for nearly twenty years & it just keeps getting better. This is the first restaurant we book when we are lucky enough to be in beautiful Quebec City
