The table is set for Scalded the French bistro hippest part of Quebec. Chef Jean-François Girard presents an innovative and contemporary approach to cooking "Bistro" with a lunch menu varies each day and taking its source in the different seasonal products from the greater Quebec City area. Add to that a wine list with over 400 references carefully selected by our sommelier, Guillaume Blanchette, who will at the same time, advise you that unique bottle that will make you smile or the glass of wine that will marry perfectly with your meal . I've just finish a quick meal there before going to the sightseeing for sunset.
While we were waiting for the food, there were many time I saw the customer next table slightly looking at my brother & laughing with her partner in a very derisive way. But thing that piss me off is when the waitress (the man with glasses) stealthy pointing at my brother & laughing (mocking) with that customer. As an only Asian table in the restaurant at that time, your employee made me feel embarrassed with that disrespectful behavior. Won't be there ever again!

The food was amazing. Duck confit was delicious. We had salmon tartare, veal filet, scallops. Warm goat cheese was excellent. Drinks & dessert were great. Only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because my kids asked for flank steak to be cooked medium. It came out well done. But they just ate it bc they were hungry.

Superb! Un repas formidable! We enjoyed each course. The duck confit was the best I've had in years. My spouse had the blind tasting menu & loved it. I try not to give five stars in all categories - sorry! Can't help it here.

We first came to L'Échaudé six months ago & absolutely loved it, so we returned for my special birthday celebration, & once again, the experience was outstanding.

A special thank you to Alex, the Assistant Maître D', who had already served us during our previous visit. This time again, he went above & beyond to make our evening truly memorable. My partner & I are Swiss-trained hoteliers ourselves, so we deeply value genuine professionalism, attention to detail, & authentic hospitality, & Alex exemplified all of this beautifully.

The combination of excellent food quality, outstanding service, warm atmosphere, & great value makes L'Échaudé a place we would return to again & again. If we lived in Quebec City, we would certainly become regular guests.

Wishing the entire team continued success, it is richly deserved.

Une belle expérience à l'Échaudé dans le Vieux-Québec. Resto calme dans un beau quartier historique de Québec. Petits plats à partager en agréable compagnie. Restaurant suggéré dans le prestigieux Guide Michelin. Produits frais & les plats sont goûteux. Le goût de vinaigre dans mon plat de ris de veau était très prononcé & je perdais malheureusement beaucoup de la saveur délicate & raffinée de ce mets. Par contre, la bavette était délicieuse.

The food was good overall, simple menu to choose from. Unfortunately it'll be our last time visiting because of the server's attitude. So many reviews saying their server took their coats & welcomed them, but we didn't experience that here. It felt a little racist if I'm being honest. He also got a very rude attitude. The food may have been worth the Michelin badge but the service was definitely not.
