I recently visited this place with my wife & we ordered the Meal Box & the Gerry Spicy, along with sides of fries & garlic bread. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to our expectations. The chicken in the Meal Box was quite bland, & some pieces had an unpleasant smell. The fries were also tasteless. As for the Gerry Spicy, despite the name, it wasn't spicy at all; it was covered in too much honey, making it overly sweet. The BBQ sauce also had an off-putting flavor. The only positive was that the food wasn't greasy, but overall, we didn't enjoy the flavors & likely won't be returning.
Well I was looking for best pouting in Quebec city & I think I found it, maybe the best in Quebec.
It looked like the place was around fir over 50 years but only 5, thanks to the decor.
I went with the recommended Gerry Poutine as I wanted a sampling of their fried chicken as well.
It has caramelized onions on top with a spicy mayo & honey.
Fried were crunchy & firm, fried chicken the way it was supposed to be.
I had the one & only butterscotch dessert featuring Coaticoak ice cream - a great finish. If I didn't have dessert , I would have has the larger Gerry's pouting

One of the best'poutines' I've had in a long long time.
The fries were perfectly cooked, lots of cheese curds & their poutine gravy is out of this world good.
I especially liked the fact that they put the gravy in a separate container for my takeout order, that way my fries weren't soggy & the cheese wasn't all melted into a huge pancake.
This restaurant is very small & simple (only a dozen seats available at the counter) but their food is really delicious & of very good quality compared to other places.
Their Poutines are all very delicious but their fried chicken is also very good… a must try.
The prices are also very reasonable for the quantity & quality offered.
The staff was very nice, welcoming, polite & efficient.
Highly recommend you try this place.

We tried this little chicken place in Québec city in March 2025 based on some reviews & it did not disappoint.
Update: May 2025 we went back again & met the owner. She was just as nice as her staff. The meal was even better the 2nd time around. I wish i lived locally, I would absolutely be a regular.

The chicken is juicy & fried to perfection, the pickle sauce is absolutely delicious....if you are a pickle lover, you do not want to miss out.
The bbq sauce was sweet & tasty & we saw a poutine being prepared that made us want to ask the stranger for a bite.
The location has an old school diner counter feel & we are already looking forward to our next visit.
Recently tried fried chicken & it was a fantastic experience! The takeaway box was sturdy & perfectly sized keeping the meal intact. The dips were the highlight & complementing the chicken. Everything was convenient tasty & well presented-a great option for a delicious hassle free meal.

I tend to save my reviews for my favorite experiences, & this place deserves all the praise I can offer. The food speaks for itself - the fried chicken was the most juicy & tender I've had in a long time, & the poutine was the best I've tried in Quebec so far. Sitting table side to all the food action was fun to watch, & it makes you appreciate the dedication & love that goes into this food. The owner was so sweet & you can tell she cares. If we ever make it to QC again, this would be one of my first stops.
