Excellent in every way. After 3 breakfasts & 2 suppers we had to leave for home. The great food friendly staff & general ambiance kept us going back. Did I mention the beer? Oh! Super value too. Highly recommended.

We ate here for breakfast twice during our stay in Quebec City, & each time the food was delicious. They misplaced our order the second morning, but they more than made up for it when they discovered the error. We would definitely eat here again should we return.

Absolutely wonderful. We recieved a free breakfast from our hotel. On the voucher it said we would have a choice of 4 breakfasts. So, I was expecting a small, slapped together breakfast to fulfill the hotel's obligations. Surprise! Huge plates chock full of deliciousness. This restaurant is busy, super busy, & now I know why. Great & pleasant service. Special mention to Nicholas who was our server. He was beyond busy, but attentive & cheerful. Make sure you visit the restrooms while you are there. I never thought I would say these words in my life, but you will miss an experience if you don't visit the restrooms! No hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

Extremely friendly staff. Nice rustic decor. Breakfast was delicious, especially the thick cut maple syrup bacon. Everyone else's meals looked tasty. Good size servings.

Lively, rustic, friendly place. Terrific breakfast options. My favorite is the pot of oatmeal (it's served in a sizeable saucepan), with lots of fresh blueberries & raspberries, & almonds & maple syrup. Interesting decor--feels like a winter cabin in the mountains. Cozy!

Wonderful, wonderful place. So much atmosphere in this "sugar shack" with its wooden walls & floors, & old toboggans & snowshoes on the ceilings & animal heads on the walls. Servers & Maitre'd are outstanding & so friendly. Fabulous food! Best, best breakfasts! I had great omelettes with thick-cut toast & great roasted potatoes, & my husband had Quebecois crepes in maple syrup sauce. We loved it here so much that we came three times!
Reservation are almost a must. They should be done online. Even with reservations there is often a short wait, but with no reservations the wait can be over an hour. Bravo, La Buche!
