Lovely atmosphere & decor. I ordered the french toast with apples. I guess it's called a sugar shack for a reason. This dish certainly came with a side of diabetes. The french toast was lukewarm at best, & it came out very quickly, so I am wondering whether it was pre-prepared. Whilst the caramel sauce was delicious, my french toast was just drowning in sauce & too sickly sweet by the end for my liking.

A truly wonderful experience from start to finish! The food was exceptional, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, & the authentic Québécois décor & music made the experience feel incredibly special. Every dish was delicious, & our server was both kind & entertaining, adding to the overall charm of the evening. If you're looking for a genuine traditional Québécois dining experience, this is the place. I highly recommend it!

Une cuisine québécoise traditionnelle avec une décoration typique & un service au top. Très bonne soirée à La Bûche où nous avons notamment partagé « la cochonne », une assiette réunissant plusieurs recettes phares comme la poutine, les côtes levées (ribs) ou encore la cuisse de canard. We had lunch at La Buche on a sunny Saturday in May & it was wonderful! We arrived early for our reservation & enjoyed the decor for a few minutes until we were seated. We were seated on the patio under an umbrella. The service was attentive & the food was yummy with large portions.

The design & decor are unique, but the food was really average. Almost everything was overly sweet. The service was also just okay - they forgot to bring the forks, then the milk, then the water.

Great atmosphere & decor inside, very cosy. Food really good & the option to upgrade your fries to poutine on some dishes is great. The poutine is really delicious. No real veggie options apart from the poutine but it's great.

An interesting to dine & have a drink in what can be described as a truly Quebecois experienece The atmosphere of the folks there in a very well decorated interior if one can say in that it is a bit like a cabane a sucre or sugar shack There is plenty to eat & the staff are super friendly Highly recommended if you are in Quebec City Worth a visit !!!!

Ce restaurant offre une belle sélection de plats inspirés de la cabane à sucre, préparés avec soin. Le pain doré pommes & caramel était particulièrement délicieux, tandis que le « Chicken & Waffles », bien que créatif, n'était pas exceptionnel. Le service était courtois, mais un peu détaché. Le décor, un atout majeur, attire une clientèle touristique nombreuse, mais entraîne aussi des prix un peu élevés.
