Great selection of Québécois food! We enjoyed the scallops appetizer, the pea soup, the shepherd's pie & especially the poorman's pudding Our waitress was great too!

Pierre, notre serveur était parfait!! Il nous a fait sentir comme chez nous. & que dire de la bouffe!! Miam!! Tout était excellent!! Le pâté chinois 'revamper', soupe à l'oignon, les croquettes de pâte à la viande & le pouding chômeur!!!

Friendly staff & delicious food in an informal style. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at dinner & were warmly congratulated with bubbly to start the evening & dessert & cheers to finish. Rustic Quebec style & generous portions. The shepherds pie was especially delicious.

Loved the atmosphere (great music too), service & to die for food! My husband & I chose La Buche for the Canadian inspired cuisine toured on their website. We each had a drink - my husband had a delectable creamy dark ale & I had a refreshing cocktail. Our meals were full of incredible flavor - one house specialty of shepherds pie & the other a salmon pie. We can highly recommend both. Lastly, the service was perfect - everyone was just attentive enough!

Just okay. Large portions. My Quebec shepherd's pie was over salted & the shredded meat was very dry. It was Sunday 6:30 & the restaurant was empty. Felt like they were rushing to close

My fiancé & I just visited Quebec for a few days & were both excited to try this spot. We both read such great reviews & of course the décor was a definite bonus. I am sad to say that we both were not impressed with the food. I ordered the bacon poutine & he got the chicken & waffles.
My poutine was not warm which makes even less sense as its served in a skillet(cheese curds were not melted in the slightest), the beans weren't tasty & the whole dish was Super Salty. The piece of bacon & egg on top were the only good things on my plate. I left hungry.
My Fiancé's chicken & waffles was just ok. Definitely a good piece of chicken but the waffles had a weird consistency & taste. Unfortunately this place did not live up to the hype for us.

We enjoyed having breakfast here for 7 out of 10 days while on vacation. This was part of the breakfast package from the hotel chateau du Pierre. The location is very nice & decor is very cool. I love the bathroom area with tub sink. The staff is super friendly & attentive. The food is great, love the eggs & toast & bacon, cooked perfectly every day. Remember to make your reservations the night before or earlier. On the weekends they were booked & we missed out on two days.
